Many many thanks - the thought came into my mind (the cube, or one sided flat object)I just had yet to try this. I heard Poser 5 is quite improved - if I could only afford to purchase it right now - and keep the utilities on as well?!?! Much gratitude for your consideration.
Thread: Bryce Failure upon .dxf import | Forum: Bryce
Thanks for the ideas. I heard of a program called crossroads - that converts .dxf into .obj files. I cannot locate the link or site to utilize it though. I did try to reload Elefont - without success. Funny thing - I import some pretty heavy Poser and other models into Bryce - and the program seems to hold it's own during this process. For your consideration - I thank you.

Thank you so much people - well - I really wanted to use Poser for this one. I guess it's back to trying to grind it through Bryce instead. Thanx again!

Hey - those are some outstanding compositions. Well - I am a little intimidated by the level of expertise that you all show. I now see how there is no substitute for experience - and a heavy helping of elbow grease (not to mention patience.) I like the P4 Mario image - especially the hair/beard textures - is that a pure Poser render? I have to admit I agree - it seems true with any endeavor - the tools are only equal to what you do with them - (I have yet to get my tools overly dirty yet - so to speak.) One last thing - you all seem to have so much time invested in learning these techniques - I guess it keeps us off the streets - right?

Now I have some very definite ideas that steer me toward the right direction. From all of the advise that I have received - I am in a position to make a better choice in my upcoming purchases. It seems that once the base models are acquired and installed - the options are quite broad for clothing, textures, accessories, etc. Thanks again all.

Funny that you bring up the tutorials and resources as well. I located several after reading this - even while just lurking through the forum paraphernalia. I located recent magnet and texture tutorials that seemed quite informative. Thanks for the info! P.S. To be honest - I have a slightly ignorant feeling when reading many of the posts to this forum - I guess only time will tell.

Thanks for the info - I fully realize that this area is not something that one like myself can tackle in one evening. I have actually ordered Lightwave (cringe) and will most likely be using this as well as Adobe/Bryce/Etc., in my endeavors. I am also fully aware that the fantastic Poser/Adobe/Maya/Etc. work that I have seen in numerous galleries are the result of a very large amount of hours of hard work and frustration for the individual artists. Any advice or direction forwarded here is most sincerely appreciated. It is sort of ironic - that I have spent so many years with my chops (I won't call them perfected) with ink/graphite/paper and such - and work that I am comfortable and familiar with, so to speak - that can be created in minutes - is sometimes so annoying to attempt in the digital arena - I know this must be a common beginner's woe.
Thread: Font Software - 2 Render with Bryce - Elefont?!? | Forum: Bryce
Thanks again ladies and gentlemen. I have attempted to reload Bryce and Elefont without success. I am now working with Armin and hopefully we can iron this out. I will post my results for informational purposes as soon as I know something more.

Most appreciative thanks for the quick replies. I do use the Norton Speed Disk utility, and I try to utilize it on a fairly regular basis. I will try all suggestions and keep my fingers crossed. Thanks again all.
Thread: extended animation rendering | Forum: Bryce
Thanks to all for your assistance! Every thought and tip that was suggested was helpful in the learning process. The idea to render individual frames was what I have found to be the most time economical solution. I am most greatful for all of your time and effort in helping me with this matter. THANKS AGAIN!
