I made a folder on my web site called "files." I put all my zipped and thumbnail files in there. Each freebie has two files: (name).zip & (name).jpg For example: mikefaces.zip mikefaces.jpg I always use lower case letters for everything, and I try to keep the filenames short. I also keep a list of the links to all my Free Stuff files. Here is an example: Mike's Emotions: File: http://205.122.23.229/ronknights/ Thumbnail: http://205.122.23.229/ronknights/files/mikeface.jpg *** All links in Free Stuff take you to my site. You can see all the latest freebies right on the first page. I hope this helps.Thread: Hello everybody, I'm new here | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

I know all about saving file space by converting the jpg. My point remains: I've NEVER had to do this before, and I've been buying DAZ stuff for a year or so now.

Look do it the easy way. 1.) Create a Face Library for the character whose face you want to save. 2.) Add that face to the library. 3.) If you lose that face, just click on the Face icon in the library and bring it back. I routinely create Face Libraries for many characters. Those include character and facial expressions. I always save the default face to that library first. Then I can always bring it back.

I have no idea what this is all about. But if you're willing to apologize, that's great. Don't let anyone lecture you on how to apologize. Geesh.

To play it safe, why not create a new facial library for that character? I routinely do this. Just switch to the face library, and save the face as "default." You can bring it back later.

OK, let me explain. DAZ's textures traditionally don't need any sort of fiddling with BUMs and stuff. The textures are good to go right out of the box. That has always been a good hallmark of DAZ... Other people who supply textures often require you to go through that extra step. Never DAZ. There are no "...bum.jpg" files in the texture section. I've checked. If there were, this would be a step backward for DAZ. They've never handled their textures this way. When this bum file is not found, Poser locks up for a very long time. I haven't seen that happen very often since I started using Windows XP. I wasted a good hour or so fiddling with this problem. That's not a good thing. The texture I've bought is described as "medium," and "standard." I have no idea why the texture seems to have two names. I've checked my purchase history to verify the two names. As of tonight I've received no response from the DAZ tech email address. Frankly I'm surrprised at that. Maybe their customer service email address is more responsive. I'll try them now.

I always identify that information in my thumbnails and in my readme files. Of course that means your need to hold onto those resources, and read them.

I think it's good enough to get the positive feedback from "the good people." It helps you get through the day! Take care!
