There's nothing new in my MyStuff folder.  Should I be redownloading the files from their original download link?

The script I'd like to see is one that notifies me whether or not any part of the figure has poked through the cloth before starting the simulation.

The Out of Touch one is a pain, but you click the graphic and that pops up another window and you have to wait for the flashy Flash stuff to finish and then it turns into a circle with dates that can be clicked for the different parts of the character. Some people like that kind of presentation. I consider it a nuisance to wade through. The character is nice.

New A3 character

There was a Japanese Aiko club that's had an advent calendars for the last two years, but I cannot recall the web address and don't know if they're doing anything this year.

You missed the CP Raptor.  Don't forget, now that you're a Passport member for six months (if you order SE version), that there are other animals available for free.  You'll especially want the Passport CD (which is really an electronic download).

P2 high and low res models are still there, as well as the P3 Male and Female nude figures, and P4 figures (high and low).  I'm still rummaging through directories to see what other content is included., so don't yet know what P5 and P6 content was retained.  At 1.7 Gb, there's a lot.

V4 makes use of Poser 5/6 material settings and was designed to be used in Poser 6 (P5 will announce the error, ""This file has a newer version number than expected." when V4 is loaded). V4 uses alternate specular and alternate diffuse settings with math functions and edge blending.

V4 also uses dial grouping, but not in a very thorough fashion. Partial poses and injection morphs are in separate groupings.  Expression morphs aren't broken out the way EFrontier figures are where eye, nose, and mouth morphs are grouped in separate sections.

It could be an incentive to join the Platinum Club.  Join the monthly membership ($30) and get V4 free, a $5 voucher, and access to all the $1.99 club prices and another 30% off the introductory prices of other V4 products. Paying $70 for the annual gets V4 free, 30% off V4 products, a $30 30-day voucher, a $5 monthly voucher, and access to all club items. 

Anybody willing to pay for V4, hir-res maps, and morphs can get all of them free with the annual membership (and free vouchers) and still have some voucher money left over for something else. If somebody is willing to spend $60 for those three items, joining the PC is only a little more expensive and will essentially pay for itself.

Didn't Mec4D have M3 and more than just one V3 texture?

I'm suprised that the DAZ bios don't credit Chris with being the creator of the Victoria meshes. I was figuring it might be one of the modelers further down the management chain.

Poser 7 should have an improved renderer. It will support multiple threading, better texture handling, and shouldn't crash so often when rendering complex scenes. For anybody who does a lot of rendering and has a dual processor machine, those sound like worthwhile advantages to upgrade.

New figures aren't much of a draw. The G2 figures haven't taken over the Poser universe and generally seemed to be something of a letdown. The P7 figures will come free with the program and will receive modest support, but probably won't unseat the DAZ figures from marketplace dominance. New generations of DAZ figures will probably eventually become the new standards for Poser/Studio figures even if they aren't markedly better than the previous ones, based on past experience. The base figures will probably be aggressively priced with expectations of making money off of morphs and apparel. The marketplace has changed, so it will interesting to see how quickly the new generation of figures get adopted and used. Anton already showed that there are ways to regroup Poser figures for more realistic bending, so maybe there will be some new design innovations. Everything is still limited by the existing boning system in Poser.

The new export feature now makes hundreds of Bryce freebie objects available for other 3D programs, so that easily makes it worth the $6 or $37 price.

I'm sad to hear that it's still a horrendously slow program.
