thats funny, the figure behind the cat kinda looks like Ashcroft. Infact both the cat and Ashcroft just looks like it was cut out of a photo. Didn't know cats could smile like that either. ;)

I put a large white square over his genitals and gave him wings, see it's Fae.
Steer, see their are differances in the background, but it could be tubed, it's hard to see but I can see a thin black line around the cat.

The way I do it is:
go into the material room and click on the figure you want to apply it to with the dropper. Start at the top of the 'parts list' - I'm not sure what the offical name of it is -- and work your way down. applying the new textures as image maps connected to the diffuse node on the main branch.
There probably is a better way (ir using thr group tool to make a new material zone to cover all your parts) but I've not experimented with this enough to give advise on it, perhaps someone else who has can.

" Four young RCMP officers were slain by a lone gunman who ambushed them. The highest one day loss to the RCMP for over 100 years. This is my small attempt at a tribute to those who keep us safe. " Wow, that's a good day in LA. Anyhew, if you have the time and processig power try the poorman hdri tutorial. render the background people (with out the RCMP marching) then use that for the hdri, apply the lighting and then re-render (warning the amount of lights used will make a large render time - I usually use 100 in mine) and see what that does for the pic.Thread: My 1st lighting try.. Thats pretty darn close. As close as I've seen with out using some sort of 3D laser scanning device. This isn't for the 'render my daughter' thing is it. (havn't looked at that for a while so I can't tell if it's the same girl or not)

I'd try messing around with the noise nodes, or perhaps a cell node with a very small scale placed in the displacement node on the main branch and then add a velvet node to the diffuse node with white and very light grey for colors (if white is the color you're going for)Can't try it here to see if it works, but if you get a chance to try it before 6 hours from now (when I go home) let me know. I've been experimenting with the nodes in the material room to make textures of late and would be interested. (link is to another post to see one that I worked up yesterday)link Ohh I added a nudity tab for those of us at work. (luckily I'm fast with the down scroll)

has anyone tried adding a raytrace reflection node to the hair on a low reflection setting and a high 'softness' or something. I can't really try any of this here, so this is just more of a 'brain storming' type idea. If someone tried this with bad results feel free to share.

does allowing the particle emmiters run that long really have any difference in effect? I mean after a point wouldn't it just be busy work for the processor, or is there a feature in that app that makes it more accurate or something, please tell. This has sparked my couriousity.
