Too bad, but I don't see anything. Any advice on which version of Quicktime and what additional codecs, if any, I need?

Oh! Stupid me! I went straight to the gallery. Nice image, by the way.

Congratulations! But I have a stupid question: how exactly does one find the image of the day?

It's been mentioned here many, many times.
Yeah, it must have. Doesn't it feel silly being out of the loop?
Anyway, thanks a bunch! It works like a charm, and, actually, I might even have thought of it. Whenever P6 seems frozen, for example, when after a render it doesn't get back to preview mode, I just open the task manager, and, whoops, there's the preview mode.

joezabel, you're absolutely right. There are some serious problems with the way the Poser 6 figures are rigged. As I don't know enough about modelling, I can only speculate about the quality of their meshes. But from what I hear, I suspect that Anton's Apollo Maximus and his future female counterpart might be the models of the future. Or some others that we haven't seen yet. Anyway, all I wanted to say is that one can do amazing things with the P6 figures once certain quirks are overcome.

Actually, Jessi has much, much, much more useful expression morphs than V3. It's one of the most positive aspects of Jessi as far as I am concerned. The names may need some getting used to, but once you tried a couple of combinations, you'll never want to go back. The same, by the way, holds for the face morphs that RDNA sells. Much, much more versatile than the standard DAZ morphs for Vickie, in my opinion. If you don't believe that Jessi can look good, take a glance at my gallery. And no, I am not acquainted with e-frontier in any way. :-)

Thread: Great Free Hair Site...... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Aeriol: LOL! "Shedding hurry" apparently was ment to be the translation for "Haarteile", which just means "hair props". It is actually composed of "Haar", which means "hair", and "Teile", which means "pieces" or "props". But Bablefish thought is was rather "Haart", which is a form of the verb "haaren", meaning "shedding hair", and "Eile", which means "hurry". Actually, "shedding hurry", if such an expression made sense, would be "Haareile", but quite obviously, Bablefish isn't familiar with the subtelties of composing words in German. Back on topic: yes, I've admired the styles, but I'm a little timid of using dynamic hair, so I haven't tried any of them yet. Maybe now I will.

Thread: How old are you? (Mostly OT) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It is a common misconception that the answer to the ultimate question is 42. In fact the answer is 41 and the question is: "How old are you, Olaf?"

Thanks for the script, destro75! I will have a look at it.

I actually open the process manager before and after the render and compare the CPU times of the Poser process. I don't know how accurate these are in Windows, but I guess they will be good enough for what most people need. For me, that's the only way that really works, because I usually set Poser to low priority and do other things with my machine while it renders.

Thread: Tan line mask for Jessi | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've put up a render in my gallery which I'm not linking to here because of modesty.

Thanks! I've been able to cook up something in the meantime, but you can never have to many textures or, for that matter, tan lines, can you? ;-) Nice morphs, by the way.

I guess you know Photoshop can handle this, using layers and paths. I guess I know... :-) No, I'm just being lazy here. If someone had already done it, it might save me some tedious work. Anyway, thanks for the step-by-step. I know the basic procedure, but tried to do it without seam guides at first. Kids, don't try that at home. It doesn't work. Is the problem that the tan lines don't match the clothing? For example, a sun dress with a fallen strap? No, the problem is just that the tan lines don't match my imagination. I guess I'll just have to learn how to texture and use seam guides.

Thread: OT: How do you pronounce your username? hehe | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Daio, yep, the "o" is pronounced subtly differently in German. I'd probably sound much like your mother when I said Daio. :-)
