Any company's interest in Poser's survival can only be a good thing. The alternative would be Poser dying a slow death or put on some bizarre life support by the Poser community. Not much could be worse than MetaC.

Thread: Zygote's Millennium Man | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I, too, e-mailed Zygote about the whereabouts of Millennium Man, a while ago. Their response was that he was next up on their list of things to do. My feeling, and comment to them, was that some part of the reason why more Poser users are primarily interested in the female figure is that the male figure is so poor. Whether intentionally or not, they've created a dirth of decent male figures and accessories. I think Zygote will be pleasantly surprised at how well Millenium Man sells. I also think it's ironic, what with all the work and hype surrounding the development and release of Millie - the ultimate Poser female - that she looks so masculine. Maybe she's Millennium man too...

Thread: Okay...here's the figure I think we all need | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What we need is a decent male figure. With clothes that aren't ridiculous, a variety of realistic texture maps, and a good number of believable hair props. With the utter glut of female figure morphs, clothes, props, maps etc., I can wait for yet another P woman, while the Poser male problem is addressed.

Thread: Possible Gallery Rating System | Forum: Community Center
What's the point of a numeric rating system? What's the pay-off? What's the goal? Are people including these numbers in some resume? What is a "score" supposed to do for an artist? Get him into Poser college? One will choose to take a closer look at a thumbnail based on one's interest not some digital average. These numbers literally serve no purpose. And are way less useful than a worded critique.
Thread: Possible Gallery Rating System | Forum: Community Center
I agree with Crescent. Any ratings system is fundamentally insulting. Quantifying one's work is useful for contests or sporting events, but not art. Even sports that have an artistic component, like figure skating, have a built in fail-safe for extreme "high-low" scores: either are automatically eliminated. It's true that members might rate according to personal political, religious or sexual tastes and ignore the artistic merit of a piece. They do it all the time. There's nothing more valuable to an artist who requests feedback that the good-old-fashioned written word.

Thread: Questions on Boxing Accessories. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
kalirage, Re: the boots: after importing each as a 3ds, save each to your props library. As props, they can now be selected from the library and positioned on your figure. This will then allow you to re-save each to your library as a "smart prop" - one that remembers its parent position every time it's imported, the same way a hair prop does. Chapter 6, of the user guide, under "Adding props to the library" will talk you through it. It's easy. Good luck...

Yep, all true. There's a wrestling ring at the Props Guild as well. After all, a squared circle is a squared circle.

Kali, You'll find a decent pair of boxing gloves at the Props Guild, under downloads/sports. There's a link to the Guild at the right under "Web Resources."
Thread: Looking for American football/rugby ball...anyone? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Tribe, You can find an American football in the Poser Free Stuff. Click on the link to the right and do a search. There's a good soccer ball at the Props Guild (look for it under downloads/sports), also in the list at the right under "Web Resources." Good luck.
