Thanks for the replies! I had tried all those options prior. Well it works now, so I think I figured it out. One of the trans maps was in RGB (color) I changed this to to greyscale, and all seems to be fine. Yea! Thanks again. James

Dream Spinner, The answer is yes. Giggle. But really. If you just want to change the color either one will do. They both can be changed just using the paint bucket tool. They are also both around the same size (same mesh used). But if you want an extreme close up then using a texture map is the way to go. That way you can get some nice detail.( The mesh is somewhat detailed, but not great for an extreame close up) I hope this helps. James PS: To all i have this as a figure also, and i may attempt to make it a possable prop one of these days (stem bend, leaf morphs, and open bud morph)

Dream Spinner, it's an old rose from Zygote the early days. (came with a nice vase too) But I do beleive it's still on one of their cds. I supose I could post it to the funstuff page. (if I don't get in trouble. It HAS been floating around the net for a very long time) In time for the holiday. James
Thread: Poser patch problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
In several earlier postings, many have stated that they have had the same problem. You are not alone. I haven't downloded the new patch for this reason, awaiting a fix for this. I also do not know if this is a PC only problem or a MAC problem too. Hope they fix this soon. James
Thread: Applying P4 textures onto a P3 .obj in Bryce 4? Please help. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The UV Map information between the 2 are completely different. Look at a P3 template and a P4 template for the same figure. The head is larger and in a different position on the P4 template, plus other body parts. Since the obj takes it's map information exactly from the template you can't use a P4 texture on a P3 obj. The only way around this is to use a program like UVMapper and remap the P3 obj. But you would have to exactly match the position of each part to the texture. Not for the faint of heart. Another way is using the UVMapper again for each body part and cut and paste from the P4 texture to match your new template. Then import all of these into Bryce. Very time consumming. I hope this helps. James

Great boots! Thin out the Quiver strap, fluff up the hair a bit, and perfect! Great ears BTW too. James

Lobo, If you don't need facial or major tex pics, I've found that you can get away with jut tex-er-izing in Bryce. But be fore-warned. it's a little tricky, since Bryce doesn't really allow decaling. So you're at the mercy of a straight through pic tex or have to go to the DEEP texturizer. James

Jack, I can't take too much credit for that. This is rendered in Bryce. The skin tone is achived by a solid color. (No textures here) It's all in the lighting :-0 James
Thread: Vote! Name One Female and One Male character you'd most like to see available | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Young Kate Hepburn morphed to old. Now there's a challange ;-) Will need someone to create both hair styles ( veronica lake-ish for young and a great gibson for old) Harrison Ford is a good choice also for the male. James
