Nuts. Still not right. I think I must have done something wrong elsewhere. Since this is only a learning excercise I'm going to go back to square one and start again from scratch. Back in a couple of hours.... :o

Ah! I think that might be it. I noticed that the hip y-trans on the base figure was 0.010 which is roughly the amount the new clothing was out by. Any idea how far back I need to go to correct this? Would it be back to the 'load base figure, import clothing obj and do the grouping tool stuff' phase?

Thanks for the idea VS, but no cigar. ;) As before, the clothing loads initially in the correct location but when conformed it moves into the wrong place. Thanks anyway.

Nope, definitely no transmap loaded. All reflection settings set to zero, min and max trans set to 100. This last pic doesn't even have a tex map loaded, it's just the basic model with all the parts set to 100 transparent, all 4 colours set to black. This is really doing my head in.

Yeah, I turned of parts of the pant legs, and that hid those parts of course, but I can't switch of the 'shorts' element or the whole thing disappears. The highlight colour is black yes. Should it be?
As for reflection maps I don't have any loaded at all, just the slider set to 0.
