Thanks, this is a great tool. Since I have the Pro Pack, I use it to convert my png's to rsr's. -darlisa
Thread: Bryce 5 | Forum: Bryce
Bryce is not the only program that this happens with in WinXP. I've had it happen with several other programs, including trueSpace, Paint Shop Pro, and Painter 6.

You wouldn't happen to know why the Pro Pack won't save magnet changes on figures would you? I haven't gotten any answers to the thread I posted a few days ago on it. -dar

Zero, I had tried converting using Grouper, but not in combination with the UVMapper. That worked perfectly. You are a wonderful person. Thank you! -darlisa
Thread: Poser/Bryce Importing Problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have Bryce 5, without the beta patch. Since it has not been officially released, I don't trust it. Besides, when I tried to apply it, it said that it couldn't find a legal English retail version. I also have Poser 4 Pro Pack with the Service Pack 3 patch. I don't have a problem with textures or any non-Poser obj. I can't render much in Poser since my computer can't handle more than one or two characters at a time and that is a real pain to composite everything together. Besides, I'm a Brycaholic and wouldn't have Poser if it weren't for Bryce. I'd rather do all my rendering in Bryce. -darlisa
Thread: Poser/Bryce Importing Problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm getting this same error, but with every single thing I export out of Poser. I've tried exporting items one at a time, removing hair, converting using Grouper (recommended in another thread here) and trueSpace, all to no avail. I cannot import any Poser exported model into Bryce 5. I can import anything else, as long as it is not a Poser export. Before, this was a periodic problem and reinstalling Poser, the patch, Pro Pack, and the patch would stop the problem for a while. On Monday, I upgraded to WinXP and now, even reinstalling Poser or Bryce 5 does no good. In chat the other night at the Delphi Bryce Forum, someone mentioned that they were able to import the models into Bryce 4, save them as a file or as an obp, and then import it into Bryce 5. I just tried this and B4 came up with the same error. I am at a loss on this. darlisa

Thread: [Pro-Pack] Is it safe to delete .rsr files? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have safely deleted all my rsr files with no ill effects, however, you do need to make sure that you open each library tab before you delete the rsr files. The Pro Pack does not create the png files from the rsr files until you actually open the library itself in the PP. I also periodically check for new rsr files after I've installed new products. If you ever need to create rsr files for any products you have for download or sale, P3DO has a nice plugin that will do this for you. I've never read the complete PP manual, so I cannot answer that question for you. Hope this helps, darlisa
Thread: Painting hair and Clothing Tutorials? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
ooooh, thanks to both of you! I recognize the Creative Dust one, but that's one I must have lost in the great crash. I'm always looking for more tutorials and resources for my resources pages and I always find such a wealth of them here. -darlisa

I've had to uninstall the Pro Pack for now. Too many problems. It will work for a while, then I start getting corrupted exports and corrupted saved files again. If I uninstall the Pro Pack, then reinstall WinME, then reinstall Poser 4, the P4 patch, Pro Pack, and the PP patch, then it will work for a couple of days before starting up again. But after doing this twice a week for the last several weeks, I've had it up to here with it. I've got Windows XP Pro on order so I 'll see what happens after that. It could just be that the PP and WinME just don't like each other very much. -darlisa

I heard that someone jumped the gun and it had been pulled off the site. Haven't checked it out yet though.

With all the problems I've had lately with this PC, I'd switch to Mac in a second ... well, as soon as I win the lottery that is ... :) -darlisa

Well, I can't install the patch. I get an error about not being able to find a retail English version and the update stops. Someone on the Bryce Yahoo list suggested that the update was looking for the default directory, which is C:Program FilesCorelBryce 5, but since I don't have room on my C: drive to put Bryce there, I can only hope that Corel has a fix for this before they release the finished patch. -darlisa
