What a mistake. That's like amputating your arm because you have a blister on your finger.
Thread: Poser 5 Face room | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you're using photos as references in the face room, step 1 is doing some pre-production work on those photos like proper cropping and sizing as well as matching skin tones between the front pic and the profile pic in your photo application..
Thread: How to make the head texture match the body texture? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Does the same hold true for getting the body to look like the head texture; post work that is? I'd say pre-work. Just reverse the process. My suggestion is to go for general tones on the body skins and then match your heads to them as you develop them. Very white, mid-tone caucasian, olive toned (which could cover Mediteranian, Hispanic, Asain, etc.) and black (African, south Asian, etc.). Use any photos to get your color readings. Manipping colors on caucasian body textures to get a really black skin might be a problem though.

It's really something you HAVE to do in your photo application. Simply take a RGB color reading from the neck area of the body texture, which might be something like 227-169-122, and adjust the colors of the face texture accordingly. Be prepared to do plenty of postwork on the face room textures, and some prework on the photos you use in the FR, but it's worth it. Truly unique looking characters very quickly. Absolutely no stock Posette or DAZ stock look.
Thread: Where to purchase Nude reference photos?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The Gomi pics aren't good enough to do textures from, but they're great to do general proportions scaling of figures in Poser or as backgrounds for morphing modeling in a modeling app. There are hundreds of them and the girls are of all shapes and sizes. You can find them in Posturepics groups at Yahoo.

Go with 5. Face room is quick and easy for making unique characters to help tell your story.

I agree about 3d.sk. Excellent site. $9.95 per month with great variety and quality for texture making and modeling reference. Just for reference pics for modeling, the Akira Gomi pics are plenty good for modeling, or even just sizing existing Poser figs, and they are floating all over the internet for free.
Thread: Art is in the eye of the creator. (an open letter to critics) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Saying, "This isn't good, that isn't good," isn't a helpful comment. Saying, "I think if you tried it this way, you'll like the results better," is a helpful comment.

Clothes are tough to do in 3D, so that explains a lot of the nudity. :O) Also, in my experience, the people who post the most regular and harshest criticisms either don't have anything posted at all or their work is seriously lacking.

Take a look at your temp folder in windows. I'll bet that's the culprit. TempFree, a freeware utility, does a nice job of it cleaning it out or you could just do it yourself.Thread: novice looking to upgrade, need advice | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
