You can save the face room texture as a .jpeg file to any folder you like by clicking on the file icon to the right of the texture preview box that sits at the bottom middle of the face room view. But then you have to reapply it in the material room, if you decide to do some postwork on it in your photo app, which is often necessary, especially if their is a glaring skin tone difference between the body and head texture like you mentioned. I think the photo app approach is better than monkeying with the diffuse colors to get the matchup.

As fls 13 pointed out, Poser 5 is fine for figures, but the lighting is a moose...On the plus side, I believe blender is not only free, it's a darned good way to render big scenes. I use Poser 5 almost exclusively, and Bryce when I feel like twiddling the final product. No one seems to notice one from the other..

Poser 5 renders the actual figures very very well, but I've always had a devil of a time lighting architectural sets properly, and am now commited to Blender for wider shots with figures and will render the set only and use that render as a background pic for Poser 5 for figure head shots.

Give Memturbo a whirl despite what you see in one of those threads. 3D is a real memory hog, especially Poser.

Well, call me crazy, but I think when the term "photorealistic" is applied to a texture, there should be some kind of photo manipulation involved in the production of the texture. I've downloaded a number of freebie textures that claimed to be so, and they obviously were not, so I can appreciate where dog kicker was coming from when he started this thread.

http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=353421&Start=1&Artist=fls13&ByArtist=Yes This will give anyone interested an idea of how photoreal textures can be put together and how they look while being developed. I thought it looked kind of cool and posted it awhile back.

Don't claim something is photoreal that isn't. I'll trash dihonesty any time I come across it.

If you want something done right, do it yourself. :O) Free stuff is loaded with "photoreal" textures that look like crap. The best thing to do is develop some photomanipping skills and make your own. I trashed all my homemade P4 textures when I stepped up to P5, but it's not that difficult to make them.

I'd tone down the eyes a bit, otherwise perfect, especially the hair and beard texturing.

You've got it, although I use PicPub from Micrografx and not PS. You also will need to use some cloning and smoothing brushes, although I'm not sure what they call those functions in PS.

Take a RGB color reading on the pic you'd like to match and then just adjust the color mapping on the other skin photo accordingly.
