Hey, stankygrrl! :) If you don't find something that suits all your needs, I would like to suggest that you search for character packages that at least have the type of skin tone / texture you're looking for. You can then morph the character however you please. : )
Now, you mentioned Beyonce. Lolo for V4 's skin tone comes to mind. This character has a beautiful, golden brown texture, especially in the last promo image; if you like the skin, but prefer different facial or body features, you could still use [something like] this and simply use the morphs you wish.
Sometimes we can't get all we need in one product; that's when it's time to mix & match! :p
Hope this helps!

Bagginsbill, what did you do, look in my little gallery and decide to address the problem I've been having? :P
Seriously -- this is the ANSWER to the very issue that has been plaguing me! Thank you!!

Thread: Upload Problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hey, doarte! Did you initiate the process of uploading an image, and then hit the 'back' button on your browser without pressing the 'cancel' button on the upload page? (It might even say "abort" instead of cancel, or something similar)...
I did that once, and when I tried to upload my image again, I got the same message you mentioned. If you begin the uploading process, there is a specific way you must cancel it if you change your mind. Otherwise, the gallery software will process it as your allotment for the day. : )
If you didn't upload anything, or even attempt to, then I'm sorry, I don't know what else could have happened...
Thread: Renderocity, what the F@*£ | Forum: Vue
Quote - ...Can somebody confirm that this is a true link and not a re-direction scam...
http://www.renderocity.com/mod/forumpro/index.php...Is this a ploy by the powers that be to re-direct a mispelt address or is there a scam in action...
lol... You sound like me! :P
No, this is neither a scam, nor a ploy. ;)
Renderocity is registered through Network Solutions, and you will see Bondware listed as the administrative contact. If you have purchased anything through renderoSity, you will also see Bondware listed in your receipts. ;)
Many companies often buy domains that are similar to their own, to protect against just such scams as you mentioned.
It is very smart for companies to acquire domain names similar to their "main" domain name.
For one, it adds a bit of protection, in that others will not be able to acquire the name and dupe people into falsely visiting that site.
You ever end up somewhere undesirable on the net because of a simple typo? I have! LOL !
Well, if I accidentally press a "c" instead of an "s" when typing in rendo's url, I will be ushered into the proper site. :D Thank goodness!
Good lookin' out, though! And great observational skillZ! :D
Thread: s there any way to display the time elapsed for a render ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Meanwhile you could look at Dimension3D's freestuff and try the Render Python script, which does have the option for showing render time.
GREAT freebies there! From what the readme in the Render script says, in terms of showing the time, the script displays this after the render is complete, as does Stewer's.
I'm going to look over the readme again, maybe I missed summat. :p
I must say, I am impressed with the number of options, and versatility of this script!
Many thanks for this link, (I have to send Dimension3D a nice lil' note!) :D
Thread: Tomato and veggie plants | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - but I am looking for veggie plants especially a tomato plant for a render I am doing.
Has anyone run across anything like these? Even if it's a plant that looks similar to a tomato plant...
3D Commune has a "Yummy Veggie Garden Set". You can see it here:

Thread: s there any way to display the time elapsed for a render ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - i'm pretty surprise Poser7 doesn't display the time elapsed for rendering.
...does anybody have a way to display a clock each time i press the render button ?
Maybe somebody could bug Stewer and get him to do it! :P
He already created a Python script that displays the total render time upon the render's completion. https://www.contentparadise.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7511
Thread: My first tutorial | Forum: Vue
Well, I just finished watching Chapter 1. I must say, it's amazing: as I was following along, many things you showed seemed that they should be intuitively done -- yet those were the very things that have eluded me in the creation of my ecosystems!
And it made me reflect on the scores of tests I've done; I now understand a bit better why many of my landscapes struck me as being off. Looking forward to watching the rest of your tutorial!
THANKEES**!**!
Thread: Cloud detail | Forum: Vue
Playing around with the clouds and cameras. :) Beautiful stuff, craftycurate!
My first render made me think of a mouth in the clouds. It is now so named. lol
kevjon, you made me want to see what very high points of view would look like. ;)
AnyHOO, if you click the thumbs, they will open images in new windows (or tabs).

This ain't no standard morphing job! :P

Download atmospherePlace the camera somewhere above the cloud layer and render. They are pretty fast to render.
Thanks
Richard
Richard, I downloaded your atmosphere... you are a Godsend. I cannot thank you enough for your generosity! I saw the image you linked to a week or 2 ago... And my mouth dropped at your beautiful scene, and those stunning clouds!
MANY, many thanks for sharing your atmosphere!
Thread: Making object disapear | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - ...it seems unneccesary to me to go to all the trouble of inverting what you don't want when Spawn Propps will create props for every group and if you have a group with just what you want in it that's all that's needed...
Hmmm... I'm curious: when you import your poser scene to Vue (without having created groups, etc. in Poser), what do you see if you double click the object, select "Split" (next to Number of Materials), and then expand the group?
It may be that with this particular object, doing this in Vue will split the oars and sails into their own separate groups. You can then delete them.
Edit: I ask because I have often had to split objects imported from Poser to Vue many times. It enabled me to easily access portions that didn't appear as a separate part (in Poser), and also let me edit or delete bits that didn't have a separately assigned group in Poser's material room.
Thread: Making object disapear | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
svdl, that is brilliant!! Thank you so much!
Whenever I wanted to delete a portion of a Poser object in Vue, I edited the mesh and split the object (if there was anything that could be split). :p Many times, I was surprised to find groups that weren't represented even in Poser's material room.
But your method answers the question I've had all along : what can I do when the splitting option is greyed out in Vue? Now I know. :P Thankees!
Thread: Content Management - Search Images | Forum: Vue
Quote - I use Irfanview outside of Vue, and the default content browser inside of Vue..but i sure wish the damned thumnails were bigger :D
I also use Irfy, (as I lovingly call it). :P
I open any image, hit the "T" key and BAM! All the images that are in the same folder as that image are displayed in Irfy's Thumbnail Viewer. The "thumbnail" size I set as default is pretty large, so technically, my images aren't displayed as "thumbnails". :P
One of the coolest things about Irfy's thumbnail viewer is that its left panel displays your folder hierarchy; so you can pick any folder in your computer from there and view all the images in that directory by expanding it. : )
