I really like the look. Some of the highlights look too blown out though, little to no detail there.

Vue Infinate is a decent speed renderer. It is multitreaded which is nice. One thing I do notice about it, is it is a memory hog compared to both Bryce and Lightwave 3D. I got a copy of it when I picked up Lightwave. They had some deal going on for both being packaged together. It sucks RAM bad though with just one fairly complex figure in the scene. Bryce seems to handle loads of models with no problems, it's just that your render times really shoot up.

I have it. If you message me I can put together something for you when I get back from vacation. I don't have it on my laptop. But it's on my main machine at home.

Thread: Dual core vs. single core Athlon64, some test results.4 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Interesting thread here. I have a AMD X2 4800+ and a benched it with Cinebench I got around 186% increase in rendering speed over just rendering with one core. It benches but rendered first using only one of the cores and then using both cores. Yes, Poser doesn't take advantage of multi-cpus. But I have noticed that it seems to do better when rendering on higher quality settings then it used to with my old AMD FX-53 single core chip. One thing I have noticed though is you can use it to run two copies of Bryce at the same time rendering and it will finish both renders nearly at the same time. I tested this using the same scene file in each. Bryce is only single threaded as well :(.

Oddly enough right now Newtek is offering Vue Infinate bundled when Lightwave for 400 for a upgrade license and slightly more for a full license. Pretty good deal.

Actually. I have ran two Bryces at the same time rendering the same scene and they both finish at the same time. I havn't tried doing two plops in one program yet though.

I have a dual AMD myself. Bryce however is not a multi-threaded renderer as of yet. So it doesn't give you much of a speed increase over a single threaded core. However, The multithreaded renders do get quite a boost from it. I benchedmarked it with Cinebench and it showed 186% increase in rendering speed over a single core the same speed.
