Hey by all means get on the stick and get animating. That is what I did pretty much put stills on the backburner and made all assets i make animation friendly. I am working on a simple story now and trying to get it done there will be no voice track. i have run into difficulties I cannot string my animations together right now i am working ot the scenes and rendering them but lack the software needed to string them together but oh well i am animating all things in time.
The original reason i got the software i did is because of animation. It does that well (messiah) bt it does not do a lot of other things well or at all but i like that. it is more focused and cost me quite a bit less than what people spring for other high end packages. Anyways I am 30 seconds into a 5-10 minute epic.

Don't know if I can help you. There are different tutorials for a variety of different apps that might work with Ani8tor. I know I did a number of Maya and Max tutorials in Wings3D so you might want to try that route. Wings 3D si also free and there are quite a few tuts for that also.

Yes I think it is your codec there. Can you render it out as a series of stills? After that you can then convert it to different formats For free blink is a good format . You will have to download a converter to do that just google blink video. It is most frequently used in cutscenes in games.

Nice start I think you need to blend the legs into the body better to have it blend into the body more. I am not sure what package you are using but a slide command on an edge loop will get you started. What level of detail are you going for in this one?

Well a few things you might want to look at do you plan on animating. do you want to render it in real time or do you want to do a series of stills. How do you feel about spending some time learning the software because you have to do that nothing is instant. plan on taking some time think of which aspect you wan lot learn first. Good free stuff Wings is nice and free you can make low poly models. Look into games based on the civil war and see if you can import DEM files pr do mods might be a interesting tool.
