Modiva, I hope you get "Muse struck" more often *g* I've got a lot of work left to do on the texture yet but thanks :) The link point's to another thread where I posted a Piebald cob WIP, once that is finished I'll be able to combine the 2 textures to make a base for a skewbald. I removed the horses mane in C4d tonight as an experiment but for some reason when I pointed the cr2 to the object it came out all mangled (rolls eyes) I HAD planned on trying to make the different manes seperate conforming items, but now I'm just scratching my head lol. One thing that I noticed is that while the Millie horse cr2 is over 42mb, the *lite* version I made without the morphs is only 902kb, making it much easier to set up a scene with before swapping it out for the full version.Thread: Sincere feedback about the Millennium Horse | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I forgot to add that Modiva's Arab morph is gorgeous! Thank you Modiva :)

I love it, but the breed morphs are pretty bad:( The textures are lovely though. I'm using an Athlon 3000 with 725mb ram, Win 2000 and gigs worth of free hdd space for the swap file, which is pretty zippy, but when I started working on some poses I ended up removing all the morphs in Morph Manager 4 and The full body morphs in CR2 edit. It now loads in and poses very quickly, but you have to make the mane transparent during posing as I removed the morphs to hide it (slaps head) One thing that I *really* don't like that I haven't seen anyone else mention is the shear amount of forelock parts. It gets really annoying during posing, I would prefer fewer parts with body handles instead. I posted an image to the gallery today showing how nicely it morphs into a more muscular powerful animal without looking like a draught breed. I'd still use the P4 horse for background characters as it is lighter on the 'puter and the Heavy Horse for where a BIG horse (not fat like the millie horses draught morph)is needed, amd the charger for cuddly hairy pony types, but the millie horse is well worth it for me as I uses horses a lot in my renders. I like it, but it does need work, I do agree with most of what is being said over at Daz about the problems. It is very morphable although the mane is a bit of a pain to work with and it also needs length morphs, also the deault horse comes into poser with several morphs turned on and it has been memorised like that so even if you reset the figure you don't get the default mesh, which I found out to my disgust after using magnets to make some new morphs which turned out to be useless! The body parts are all named by their real counter parts which means that none of the poses for the P4 horse, Charger or the Heavy Horse will work with it and the neck/chest creases very badly when the neck is posed high up. The mesh is very nice and a huge leap forward from the P4 horse and the Charger, it even had details like eyelashes. There are some conformation faults but how many horses out there in the real world are perfect show horses? I had a crazy arab that broke the mold, very muscular on a constant diet and managed to affiliate in showjumping, inspite of most people saying that arabs can't jump ;0) Here's a WIP character/texture that I'm working on, the horse it's based on is a coloured cob at my daughter's riding school, and the only morphs I used are the ones that come with the Millie horse, I'm pretty pleased with how it's comming on as try as I might I can't get a decent looking cob from the P4 horse's mesh. I have posted a ram's head morph for the millie horse at the download centre of my website if anyone is interested :) AngelaThread: Combining Eye and Head Morphs to One Dial | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I did this with V1 or 2 (can't remember which). It was very easy with Easy Pose Underground (Market Place) I added eye tilt and turn dials, blink was slaved to one dial too. All in all it only took five minutes. I also added easy pose bend, twist and sideside dials to the chest so that you can get very natural movement/poses for the chest, neck, upper neck and head. Easy Pose is probably the best Poser utility I ever bought! Alla
Thread: Cubed Animals - Work in Progress | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
:Alla impatiently strumming her fingers: Please, please make a realistic lightweight riding horse, with poseable ears, eyes and a built in trans mapped mane and tail and I'll be first in line to buy it. Also a variety of different styles of tack, modern english, western, fantasy, horse racing....you get the idea g One with the usability of Bloodsong's Heavy Horse would be great, those extra neck joints and all the morphs really make the difference. Hopefully Alla :)

Good start Duane :) The textures were Catharina's (she gave me permission to distribute them with my first hair). I wrote a tutorial ages ago on using loft nurbs for an updo type hair, the best tip that I have learned since is to set Cinema's import/export settings (under file) for obj to 500, then untick al the boxes apart from the "flip normals" when importing to Poser, then your model will be sized correctly and easier to handle in Cinema.
