Yeah, I saw in the other thread that there's supposed to be a fix for this next month. :)
The only oddness I'm experiencing is a very brief flicker of the cursor every now and then. But other than that, no major problems...so far. :)

Ditto that as well. I NEVER use multiple Runtimes. I keep everything in one and just organize with lots of sub folders. I can always find exactly what I'm looking for in 10 seconds or less.

Open your Poser.ini file in a text editor (eg. Notepad)
Change:
PREVIEW_OGL_OBJECT_BBOXPICKING 0
to
PREVIEW_OGL_OBJECT_BBOXPICKING 1
For me (Win XP) the Poser.ini file is located here:
C: > Documents & Settings > Compaq_Owner > Application Data > Poser 7 > Poser.ini

squash, do you want advice on how to organize your content inside Poser, or advice on how to organize your actual downloads? (zips, installers, etc.)

Thank you SO much stewer!!!
I edited the Poser.ini file and everything is back to normal...no more lag!I didn't even have to install the 7.12 driver. It worked just fine with the 8.3. Yay!

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by that. What are "april drivers for poser"?
This is what I installed from the ATI website:
ATI Catalyst 8.3 Display Driver for Windows XP Professional/Home Edition
Is there something else I'm supposed to install specifically for Poser?

Oh no!!! Yes, I have an ATI card and I just updated my drivers yesterday! Crap... :(
