I will see what they say. Had I known that I would not get the upgrade price on the module I might have gone ahead and gotten Complete. Not a very customer friendly policy I say.
Thread: Question about new graphics card | Forum: Vue
Just a little follow up. The card arrived and got it installed. So far so good. I am no longer getting the message that my graphic card will not handle all of the features in Vue and those features are disabled. I went in and made the changes to memory allocation that EricoSD suggested. When I was in options a pop up window told me that my current setting was hardware acceleration (I think that was the term), but that my video card would handle Shader 4. I now have it set to Shader 4. I know that Eon's compatible video cards file is way out of date so if anyone is looking for a compatible card at a reasonable price, and one that will work even on older computers, they might want to check out the EVGA GTX 750Ti. And nope, I'm not getting any kickbacks!
Thread: Marketplace RANT: Vendors please use the Promo Credits. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Can't tell you how many times I've seen something in a Marketplace ad and wondered what hair or clothing they used and where to find it. It's very frustrating when they don't give promo credits.
Thread: Question about new graphics card | Forum: Vue
Will let you know the result as soon as I get it installed. I had done some research on graphic cards for Vue (Eon needs to update their list of compatitable cards!) and someone on the forum at Cornucopia 3D recommended the GTX 650, the predecessor of the GTX 750. They said they used it and it worked well. Keeping my fingers crossed that this one works well. One thing that I liked about it is it uses the new Maxwell technology so has all the speed and quality needed, but uses very little power. It only requires a 300 watt power supply so should work with most computers.
Thread: Question about new graphics card | Forum: Vue
Thanks, aeilkema. I was getting the message with Vue 10, I just decided that after spending the money to update I might as well try to get a card that will take advantage of all the features. Of course it never said what features were disabled and it still worked OK.

Thanks for the advice! Like aeilkema the installer did not ask me about my previous content so I plan to copy it over. Will redownload those items locked to my license.

Quote - Vue 2014 Complete. The best Vue ever IMHO...
Just curious. Why do you think it is the best ever? Features, stability or both? Trying to decide when and whether to upgrade from Vue 10 Studio.

How does buying someone else's license work? I mean, how do you find someone? Maybe that would be a good option for me to step up to at least Vue 11 Complete.
Thread: Problem with Reality 3/Lux renders | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks! I did what you suggested and set the scale to 100% and composed using only moving the camera. The scene is now showing correctly in Reality/Lux. I never realized that using the scale setting was a problem.
Thread: Problem with Reality 3/Lux renders | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Do you mean the Scale setting on the main camera? If that's the case then yes.
I'll try to reload the scene and zero the scale setting and try it again.
Also, I just downloaded the newest service pack update for Poser 10.
Thread: Which versions of Vue do you use? | Forum: Vue
I'm using Vue 10 Studio plus ecopainter module. I normally stay one version behind, but this year Eon did not have their usual big markdown of Vue 11 before the new version came out.
Thread: What will Vue 12 Infinite Have? | Forum: Vue
Infinite is well beyond my means and my needs. Has anyone heard when the artist versions will come out? I have Vue 10 Studio now and they usually put the prior version on sale just before the new version comes out. That's why I normally stay a version behind. Now I have to decide whether to stay with 10, step up to 11 for the particles, or take the bigger leap to 2014. Advice appreciated.
One further question. Does the import problems with Poser 10 to Vue 10 only apply to characters like V4 or can you not import anything? I do some aviation renders using Poser aircraft models. I set them up in Poser and then import into Vue.
Thread: What will Vue 12 Infinite Have? | Forum: Vue
Quote - I hope by then, it has the poser SDK for Poser 10/Poser Pro 2014.
Rick
I have Vue 10 Studio+ and just bought Poser 10. Are you saying that Poser 10 will not work with Vue 10? I need to know before I delete Poser 9. That type thing should be included in a free update IMO.
