So how do I know which version I have loaded. I registered for an upgrade from 5 to 6 yesterday and the file that I downloaded then seems to be the same one I downloaded today. I've reinstalled but I can't see anything that says 6.1 only 6.0.1.

I find I can get a forest no problem unless I want it on a slope. What would be really useful is some way of making what you're replicating follow the height map of a terrain. Even better would be to be able to feed multi-replicate it's own height map so that it would work in X and Z directions but conform it's Y axis to whatever you've fed it.

I was going to say blaming storms, earthquakes, war, plague and famine on a simple computer program is a bit extreme.

Haigh Sophia is actually a bit taller than that. They've got scaffolding up inside it at the moment, there are 26 flights of steps with ten steps per flight to get to the middle of the dome. The place is huge. A mate of mine bought a great book on Sinan which had a complete set of floor plans for most of the buildings he bought :) I may well need to dig into that when I have some time and I've finished this. We were only in Istanbul for five nights so I never got to visit half the places I would have liked to go to.

I went looking for some other pictures for this thread and I found the following... www.saudiaramcoworld.com/issue/200605/# which has a fantastic walkthrough on it. When you get the tour up take the virtual walking tour and choose number 7.
The building is utterly astounding. Pleased you liked my model so far, it's not the same building but I'm happy with the way it's going.

No you see, you're thinking of a zoom lens, a zoon lens actively increases the funny comments (must check my typing more carefully in future).

That's the beauty of a decent zoon lens (or was in Istanbul), I could take texture shots from the same location as my mates were taking shots of the whole building.

Mate go to www.coffeegeek.com and ask in the forums there if anyone has got great pictures of foam. Mark Prince (aka Coffee Kid) who runs the site takes awesome shots, if he'll send you some texture shots you'll be laughing. Bear in mind he has some serious espresso machines at home including a full on heat exchanger La Marzzoco.
Oh they'll also be able to point you to the best coffee shops near you ;)

Thread: BRYCE CHALLENGE....... FEB-MAR - Kiss my Glass | Forum: Bryce
Thanks. I'm working away at mine as we speak. I was playing with the idea of doing a volumetric world render until I got back the result that what I have non-volumetric will take over a day to render on my 6400 Intel Duo.

Thread: How do I create that!!! | Forum: Bryce
I'll try that, thanks.
Everytime I play with the materials on the mountains (rather than the rocks) I feel that I'm just not looking at something real, scaling them down might help that as well. Any suggestions.

I can't get the height of the haze anywhere higher than it is in that. It might be because the model is so high/large. I can make the haze thicker but that just disguises the picture.

I'd fight it. The police have to prove "beyond reasonable doubt" that you were on the phone, I think the fact that they didn't ask to see your phone and you have no record of the call on your bill should be enough to give reasonable doubt.
I'm with Orbital (especially as I ride a motorbike) with the police coming down hard on this but they have to at least make sure you have a phone with you before they book you for it.
