Once the cursor is removed, you can't make changes in the middle of a sentence. Lots of strange bugs on the iPad...

OK, thanks everyone. I do want to create something I can sell, so I'm not sure what a "clean" file is.... Luckily I have both a Mac & PC so I can take advantage of PC only software.
The SceneFixer python looks great except I still don't know what morph channel to set it to and how to set the FBMs and PBMs. I swear I've been using Poser for like 15 years, and I still don't understand any of these basic things! I can create pretty girls and dress and pose them like Barbie dolls, then do cool stuff in Photoshop, but there are so many tech parts of Poser I just don't know... Urrrgh... Frustrated at myself for letting so many years go by without learning this stuff!

Wow, this all seems so complicated... I would think this would all be included as part of Poser by now. Every vendor uses INJ/REM, there must be a simple way to do it.... I looked up the scene fixer, but it doesn't even say what it does...
Thanks everyone, it looks like there are some useful pythons there, but I still am not sure which, if any, help me with the three things I needed in the original post...

Quote - to create a mirror pose figure>symmetry>swap right and left. You might have to turn off IKs
Hmm, I tried that and it didn't seem to work. The character ended up facing backwards... I'll try again.

Thread: What percentage of poser renders actually have proper faces for v4? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I was talking about the skin textures. Some of the new SSS skin looks just amazingly real, so real that it gives characters that "uncanny valley" look that so many people are talking about these days. Morphs really depend what you're looking for from sexy vixens to adorable faeries to the girl next door. It's the newer textures and lighting that can make it look so real that it can creep some people out. I think that will change over the years because of video games, but right now it seems that outside of the Poser world, the general public is not a big fan of super realistic CGI people...

> Quote - I agree. I do sometimes try for celebrity likenesses, and I usually include some asymmetry in all my renders, at least of expression, just because I think it makes faces look less creepy, but I don't go for "realistic." IMO, Poser is now capable rendering images that are deep in the "uncanny valley," and I generally try to steer clear of that. Though it's not easy. I've been using Poser so long that I'm used to it, and only dimly aware of how creepy normal people find many Poser renders.Yes, I agree completely. Many vendors have incredible realism in their characters, but what can you use it for except some creepy form of porn? I use TONS of post work to make my characters LESS real and more 2D hand painted. The uncanny valley thing is something I hear all the time including from top digital fx people who work on major movies here in Hollywood. I live in LA and meet a lot of big CGI pros and they are all against character realism. Although it can work well in gaming, not so much for feature films and selling art. People would rather buy photography of real people than digital ones to hang on their wall.
The whole great thing with Poser is that you can create FANTASY, something beyond and very different from what photography can do. You can create aliens and fairies and monsters, oh my! I tend to focus on beautiful women, but highly stylized, clearly and purposely, not real looking. Although many people look at my art and think I'm just Photoshopping photos of real human models... V4 can look VERY real, but why do you need it?

Thread: More sales! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, I know about the coupon... Was in bed with my iPad till 2:00 AM scouring new sales trying to narrow down what else I can afford which is really nothing. Everything goes to this CGI addiction! I'm trying to come up with ideas to become a vendor here so at least it will help pay for future products... And start making more money off my art!

Quote - Yeah, I think DAZ's switch to Genesis was the best thing that could have happened for Renderosity's market place. At least, it seems that way to me. I've certainly spent more here than I did at DAZ this year....by a lot.
I met a lot of the Daz people at Siggraph and felt a strong loyalty to them and when I first saw an early version of Genesis on a laptop, and was told off-handedly that it won't work in Poser, I knew it was the beginning of the end. I tried to be loyal and buy their products but I realized during the last sale that I already own pretty much EVERY Poser compatible model they have!!! I bought some cars and stuff, but I spent wayyyy too much here at Rendo during the December sales! I'm starting to have withdrawal from checking what vendor is on sale LOL...

Quote - I run Poser 7. Its a hobby , so the money to upgrade to Pro2012 is simply not there. I only have Poser 7 because of a successful product and a grateful vendor. (some technical help by me) Genesis and weight mapped figures are not an option for me , so I have not paid much attention to the discussions about them. Daz studio 4 simply does not run , and several questions to Daz got me no answers about what is wrong. I doubt I am getting everything out of Poser 7 so I dont feel I need a more complicated version that I wont get a lot out of either.
I have Poser Pro 2012 and consider myself somewhat of a professional artist, but find myself going back to Poser 7 for some reason. I don't really need super realistic renders for what I do. As far as Genesis is concerned, I haven't tried it in Poser, it seems too complicated and I don't find the model as attractive as V4, DS drove me crazy, and I have soooo much content for V4 that if they stopped production for it, I'd be OK for like a decade. I used to shop a lot at Daz but now all my money is going here LOL!

Thread: Creating INJ/REM files in Poser-Mac. Please help! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks lesbentley for your response! Unfortunately most of what you wrote is a bit over my head. But I just downloaded the SpawnCharacter file. It does say it's Mac compatible and I'm using DAZ characters. I'm looking forward to trying it out--hope it works!
Thanks!!

Thanks everyone for your help. He says he has people interested, but that's no guarantee and why I want $$ upfront. It does seem rather time intensive... He did a complete mock up of the comic book using photos of various celebrities so I know the basic look and feel of the characters. But he says he wants my artistic input, my concept of the characters, their hair, wardrobe, design of the location, etc... (using all the products I've paid for over the years!) The only thing that's his is the dialogue! I'm still very confused about the whole thing... Thanks again for all your help. Still looking for specific dollar amount suggestions per frame and per character creation/concept... :) Alicia

Thanks for everyone's help so far. The other thing I forgot to mention is that I will get a percentage of sales on the back end (again unknown amount) and I would retain rights to my art and even be able to sell posters of the characters (assuming the comic book is actually successful!) So far no one has given me actual dollar amounts though... How much for each character design and each panel? Please help! BTW, I already own a LOTof 3D assets, that I paid for over the years, probably wouldn't have to purchase more and he said he'd pay if I really needed something I don't have.
Thanks again!
