Claymor = 3 andreapetra = 2 Kemal = 1 So many GREAT renders. It's really difficult to choose here. Loved dan whiteside's and drawbridgep's too. Chohole's is of course the classic mystery. lol I have solved it though! It's the "washer monster" who eats the socks. g

Never done that before! :)) danamo; I liked the paneling too. So much that I've had the picture on my hd for a couple of years, wanting to find the "right" application for it. AS :) great! I was spooked after the last time I submitted. lol now what happened that time was a "real" mystery! Thanks!

Thread: Realistic blood?? | Forum: Bryce
Blood and blood are different things. If it pours out of your arteries, it's pink. Almost orange and very "watery". If it's vein blood it's thick, non transparent, shiny. Almost like what you've got.. Only darker. And that is sticky. While the other stuff is not. Hmm.... I'd say that you have the pulse blood pretty closely. Only. It needs to be darker. And it's a bit more "runny" than you show off of the edge of the blade. makes sense??
Thread: Final (?) wip... "Long Gone" (Sept. Challenge) | Forum: Bryce
Thank you, John. I'm giving your fire a shot. One of my problems is that it will now take 12 hrs to get the image rendered. lol But I'll get backatcha with the results. LunarTick: I found the fire mat you mentioned, but must say that I like Clay's better. :) So I'm sticking with that, with the alterations John has mentioned. I did remove the wheels! lol Thanks!
Thread: Final (?) wip... "Long Gone" (Sept. Challenge) | Forum: Bryce
LunarTick... what a smart girlfriend! l I didn't even think of removing the "wheels" :) The fire. It's Clay's fire mat. I used it "as is". Please you texture experts out there. How can I change it to look more real?
Thread: the Daz-bundle.. worth buying? Why/why not? | Forum: Bryce
PJF, that makes sense to me. Of course; none of us know what we'll get with the 5.5 upgrade. And what DAZ has in store for 6.0. What I'm saying is... will the 5.5 upgrade be worth is money. I'll have to chew on it a bit more today. :)

I totaly agree. Something is wrong with the painting on the wall. I think it would be better if I made a "Portrait" frame instead of a "landscape". As for the Style of the painting, I think it would be OK. Artists did make "informal" portraits, even much earlier than the possible time period of this picture. Hmm.. to me it looks too "flat". What if I tilted it slightly off from the wall, as if it was hanging on a hook? And yes. those wheels. lol Easy way out. Hmm.. two possible solutions. Modelling new wheels, or move the globe so that they don't show :) The furniture IS in fact placed as they were in the painting. There is a chair behind the man. There is an additional chair, that the man is resting his hands on. Rugs. Yes. The texture isn't "right". I have some others. And the other rug, is Trekkiegirl's bear rug, - that seems outta place and could be replaced for a different one?
Thread: WIP - I think its missing something? | Forum: Bryce
I agree with Diolma. Your composition is OK.. but the eye needs to "find" something. It could be an object, but it could also be something made by atmosphere. Good going. :)
