I hadn't used trusespace in a long while but what I recall is that when you choose to use an IBL light. a 3D sphere is displayed in whole. But with the lower half unused from what I gather. Its also positionalble. Thats the one thing I really hatre about poser they don't have light cone reprentations for the spot lights or even a sphere for the IBL to inform you how the image applied to it is oriented.
You're right I hadn't considered the my 3D environment wasn't going to deliver that whole dynamic range. I didn't realize it but it seems Photoshop has built in panorma sticthing and the ability to geberate an HDRI image based on different excposures of the same image.
But just to play around Im going to render differnt camera positions and stitch them into a 360 spherical view. Then I my do the same at different light intensities. Just to see what I get.

Or it may be that I am totally wrong. I didnt know it but apparrently there is an easy way to create an HDRI light probe image using multiple photos and a 360 panaorma stitching program

Thread: Nudity filtered thumbnails? Is there a user changeable setting? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Its seems this site is run buy the anti-weapon/voiloence lobby and perhaps by PETA members.
We can't also portray acts of violence in a thumbnail when "any living creature" is being harmed. They would probably ban a lawnmower cutting grass image.. Freaks. I mean some people consider plants a living creature. So I guess they would not ban an a thumbnail image of a crazy guy strabbing a pillow spewing red feathers eh? Has this site changed hands yet again in the last 12 months or so? This must be a move to help increase business. Which of course won't work.. Here we have a bunch of coders who are so bored they felt the need to make changes and yet they were to lazy to code in a user setting as to wether or not display nude thumbnails. As with almost everything, the past was so much better.

Thread: Uhm That's not IBL as I understand it - Poser 7 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ah ha. By the way it appears that I was missing something. A brain. My render settings were set middle of the road when they should have been set higher.

Thread: Uhm That's not IBL as I understand it - Poser 7 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Turning on raytracing and Ambient Oclusion after realizing I overlooked those still doesn't look good at all. How is it even realistic to even get a good IBL l scene based on a tiny 91 x 91 sized image. Additionaly it would also be reading the browqn bar where it says IBL: as part of the image. would it not?

For Some 7 crashes for others it's stable. Certainly implies that some peoples hardware setups in their PC are better than other setups.

While what I found didn't associate Icarus with Pixel Farm or call it a motion tracking software, the discussion I found said Icarus is off the shelf and can no longer be distributed.

I don't really know if there even is an SDK avaialble. I just assumed there might be, I don't know what Icarus is. But PFtrack has been around I think since at least '02 or '03. I read someone refering to Icarus as "reconstruction software" whatever that is.

The makers of Poser really went in out in left field with how they chose to create cameras and the various lights. I mean there is a common way across most 3D apps. Cheap and expensive. Except Poser. There are a number of things that are unique to Poser and THAT is the reason why there are so few plugins for Poser in general. That and the fact that the Pro community pretty much considers Poser a toy. And relative to programs like Maya it basicly is.

PFtrack probably has a free SDK that PhilC could use to garner information for creating a Python Script

THats a good idea dvdcdr. I've got Discreet Motion Builder myself. Currently I'm trying to change victoria3 by getting rif of her buttock bones because hey present a problem in Motion builder. They behave like a sperate appendage from the rest of the legs in MB so when you animate a leg it splits at the seem between the two leg parts With Sd3 boujouyou can export camera data for MAX, Combustion an few others and just a plain text file. Its the plain text file that Python would probably be able to use. Over all Poser is very weak in the animation department DarrenUIK so don't hold you breath.

Personallly I think it would be fanatastic if Python could be used to import tracking/camera dta from other apps. And Hey even the the reverse/ Export Poser camera positions ,zoom, focal length etc..
Python is supposed to be a sort of easy scripting language but not a chance that it is.

Looks good. Butyour tunic conforms to Mikes shape too much. It basically looks near skin tight.and it shouldn't.
