Okay, I got my free Passport and teh offer is legit. Though I did have to go through several hoops and several e-mails to customer service before I got it.

This is why I like building my own computer. I get exactly what I want and the customer service supprt is on par with any company's (i.e.: non-exsistant)

ย A lot of teh reviews I've been reading have siad that while the 8800 is the better card, the 9600 is a better value. But they're all lookingat it froma gaming point of view, not graphic design.

Huh, I just checked another store and found the 9600 for less than the 8800 including rebate.ย Have to add that to the list as well.
So are the 8x00 and 9x00 cards good for handeling OpenGL? Would I be safe in that regard no matter which card I get?

Well, I can understand the why and how. CP would get money from Trial Pay, who would get money from their sponsors. It's kinda a cross promotion thing, getting one company's customers interested in another company's product.

Don't know if you're aware but unless it's a 64 bit OS, then only the first 3 gig of RAM will be counted.

I just looked this up (and can't find it now) but someone mentioned this:
Open up the Poser 7.ini file in notepad.
It can be found under documents and settings/(your profile name)/application data/Poser 7
Find teh line
PREVIEW_OGL_OBJECT_BBOXPICKING 0
and change the 0 on the end to a 1.
It may help, but I'm slowly getting teh feeling that the fault has to do with the ATI card and drivers themselves.

Sigh, I tried everything and I either get too dull a texture, or shine on less of the boot. Any another sugestions?
