Can't have too many swords, etc. I especially like the trident. Got an idea for that already :-)

Lyrra did some great free textures for the mil. dragon, and this new version is supposed to accept existing texture maps. Her web site is at the link if you don't have these.Steve
Thread: Vue Infinite? When and where.... | Forum: Vue
I was very pleasantly surprised to be asked to be a beta tester, back on Feb 25th (so not many weeks ago, at least for me). I saw it as a nice chance to get my hands on a time-limited copy of an admittedly buggy V5I and hopefully help eon with their development. There was no commitment to spend a minimum time working with it - although I did spend a lot :-), and so I certainly wouldn't expect to receive a free copy. The only actual requirement was to keep shut about it until the release date.

Yes - me too! Looking forward to it arriving in the next day or so (it's pretty quick to the UK normally since previous packs have come from France, so I guess this one will too). Steve

Just another quick test, since everyone else is posting them :-)
This is an example of multiple ecosystems using mixed materials. No more than 5 minutes to put together.

Yes, you're quite right - but it's not very clear from their web site that this is the case. You have to look at each set of plants individually to see whether they are available in vob format (I didn't look at every CD but the ones I did look at all were). That's quite an important selling point, they should make it a little clearer.
It seems that each CD has 20 plants with three size variations of each, but for more variation you would need the Xfrog software.

Xfrog itself can export to several file formats which can be imported into Vue (e.g. .obj). But I don't think you can use the Xfrog plant CDs directly - as far as I can see they don't do a native Vue format, so you need the Xfrog software as well as the plant files.

You can certainly user C4D to create clothes for Poser characters. The R9 release with the add-on Mocca module makes it a lot easier. But... creating clothes for Poser is definitely not the easiest thing to do. From my own experience I would suggest modelling some simple props first, seeing how they work in Poser and what you need to do to get them from Cinema to Poser at all, before trying to make clothes.

Anyone else unable to get the upgrade option to accept their serial number. Yes, I tried with my P5 serial number from a full retail copy of P5 and it rejects it - with or without dashes in the number. I've emailed CL to ask for help.

No, no - I don't think it's all okay, as I said I think it's not good news. I agree it's irresponsible and/or bad security. I don't know how it is in the US but in the UK there's no facility to reverse-lookup a phone number (i.e. get the address from a number). I think it's even illegal to provide such a service, but I could be wrong. One of the otherwise rare examples perhaps where the greater freedom of information in the US (which I'm strongly in favour of) works against the citizen.
