There used to be a program McPBrowser in the PzMacTools package by fmorgan here in the marketplace. Among other things it can extract a png from a cr2, pz2 etc. I don't know if it is Carbon or Cocoa though.
Thumbnailer seems to run OK on my mac with 10.6.8, but I have Rosetta installed.

Do you mean the program that would put a thumbnail into the cr2's, pz2 etc so that you'd get a thumbnail in the library of Poser 4 on the mac?
Quoting from the ReadMe:
"ThumbNailer inserts a graphics file into the thumbnail picture of a Poser file, so that it will be visible within the Poser program. This allows you to make custom graphic and include it in the file, without resorting to complicated steps or chancy procedures with ResEdit. It also allows Poser users who do not have the Pro Pack to use Poser files that have been supplied with PNG files instead of RSR files; simply convert the whole folder of such files, and Poser will now show the PNG image in the thumbnail."

I tried this:
Loaded Rex and selected one of the eyes in the pose room.
Used the Group editor and chose Create prop.
Then I exported that prop.
I don't know about Deep Paint, but I could open the file in Modo.

It's a pity that Wine won't work for you, Mortandos. I'm sorry but I don't know anything about CrossOver or Mountain Lion. Also I installed Wine a long time ago and I don't remember if I did anything special to make it work. :(

I am using Mac OSX 10.6.8 and using Wine I can unpack DAZ installers. I only install to a dummy runtime and move the contents by hand into the runtime

Also, if it's stuff from DAZ you can always go and redownload the Mac version or use their new Install Manager.

Thank you! That's an interesting way to make a texture, I think. I didn't understand all of it, but then I don't know much about Blender (yet). :)

In my copy of Photoshop CS3, the Mac version, it says how big the saved file will be.
In the window "Save for web & devices" I choose the tab "Optimized" and then the file size shows up in the lower left corner.

TextWrangler will do nicely. If you save the file with the ending .py it will display the code in different colours to help you see what is what. I've also edited all kinds of Poser files with it.

I don't know about Poser 9, but in Poser Pro 2012 the P4 men's and women's clothes are included. They are in the props library though, in Props:Clothing:Poser Originals:Clothing - P4 Female / Clothing- P4 Male.
