Hello -
For Mike 3? Have you tried using the shirt from the M3 Tunic Pack? It's fairly long, and I imagine you might be able to get it to look 'baggy' with a couple of magnets to pull the sides out or something? You'd need to texture it and probably set certain parts of the sleeves not-visible, though.

Are there actually dynamic hair props out there that look halfway decent?
Yes there are. Try this site. Make sure you read the readme for instructions. These props are worked in the Pose room not the hair room.
Thankks. ^_^ Guess I'll give it one more try and see what happens! LOL

What's harder than no post work? :scared:
Dynamic hair wicked ebil grin
Are there actually dynamic hair props out there that look halfway decent? I don't use dynamic hair at ALL because A) My computer CHOKES on it, and B) I don't like the way they look... they remind me of a ferret who's just been put through the drier and is having a bad furball day. LOL

I think your limited to scale dials and huge amounts of magnets to make them fit otherwise. I don't have WW either - too expensive for me to spend that much cash in one big lump like that - but if you are going to wind up doing a LOT of work with the GND, it might be something you may consider trying to save for at some point?
Magnets are a tedious, hit and miss process. They take a LOT of time, and a lot of work, and they don't always work right. But without something like Crossdresser or WW, yeah.. that's pretty much all you can do when trying to make clothes fit a figure they aren't made for, I'm afraid.

Whoo. Took me long enough! But I finally submitted one. Yay! spins I'll echo Manoloz' sentiments. Good luck all around. :)

Quote - Seliah have you also downloaded the free Apollo? All the clothing is free as well.
Yep! I have him... I just recently found out that he was made available free. (I'm not very good about keeping up with Poser forums I'm afraid, usually) Last I'd known, he was up for well over a hundred dollars cost or so, so I had given up on the notion of ever touching him. Found out from Grimage he was freebie and went and downloaded. :)
So I haven't gotten around to pulling him out of the box yet, but that's going to happen in the next day or so when Origins will give my poor head a five minute break to let me play with other stuff. LOL!!
My only question on him is skin texturing and morphing - he looks like a very bulked out male, and while i do use males of that body type sometimes in my work, most of my males tend to be like vincent. Very wiry and lithe rather than bulked. Does he morph well for going lithe and wiry also?
Er.. maybe this should have been in a different thread.. LOL

Yeah, I tried that.. I couldn't get it to work for me. All it did was render a desaturated set of figures when I tried it. Followed those step by step and to the letter. LOL That was the first place I looked, as I remember when that thread first went up. ^_^
Thanks, guys. I got it... finally. I've been fussing at this for about three days now. :p But I finally got it... much appreciated.

Quote - why not go into the material room, then up (increase) the transparency on the materials of the ghost? just an idee
ย
Ja, that's what I'm playing with at the moment... thus far, though, the results are less than stellar. LOL I think it'll work, I just have to find the right combination of settings in the mat room...

sigh
Nevermind, guys. I'm sorry. It seems that Poser will ONLY export png's properly when the Firefly engine is used to render. If rendering with Firefly, png's come into image editor just fine. If rendering with the P4 engine, it exports the sharding .png the same way as it would a bloody .jpg.
Nevermind... >.<;ย
goes to hide in a corner LOL
Thread: Ghosts... how? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, I can't do that, though, because the bloody sharding PNG's are NOT exporting out of poser with transparency... and when I try to manually remove the background colour it looks like hell. Rendering with the background image loaded into poser, and setting it to render over background image also does not work. It INSISTS on rendering over the background COLOUR, regardless of the fact that 'render over background image' is selected..
Tried it with a one sided square, and loading my background for it onto the square, but that warps the background image badly, as well. I need my layers. :(ย REALLY need my layers. LOL
Otherwise, this would have been as simple as layers in the first place. :(

Quote - I'm not homeless yet but i may be , or even if i don't become fully homeless.. i may end up struggling to pay for an apartment, which means i am forced to not have TV, or internet and so on. Are any of you guys struggling with rent or something...then how come you still use Poser? OR most people here using 3d apps, are semi rich? again, i'm not yet homeless but with a 12 dollar per hour job, i don't think i can even afford to eat, much less Pose. right now living wit relatives so it's different.

You make more than double what I bring in - and I'm supporting a child, too.
I live on freebies, I've also learned to do a LOT of things myself. I also do have a Plat. Club acct, so at most, i'm usually only picking up the 1.99 items at Daz. I buy only rarely from any other markets, and I only buy about once a month or so from Daz, as well.
It's for this reason that I don't have a lot of the 'popular' items, nor work with many figures. I work with vic3/m3 and that's about it, so i limit also how much i'm spending that way, too. I don't need to buy a set for miki, vic3, koshini, g2, teri yuki, etc... i only need for v3 or m3. I also make wide use out of procedurals, so I'm not buying a whole lot of textures, either. Many of the images I do, the textures used are either edited by me of the defaults that came with the project, or they're further enhanced via the materials room procedurals, or they're completely made by me with procedurals. All stuff that doesn't cost money.
It's about budget, when you do this sort of artwork and aren't in the top 2% income brackets. Budget how much per month you can afford to spend, and then DO NOT GO OVER IT... ever. That's all I do. I allot myself no more than $20 a month to spend on 3D models/related items. I dont' go over that limit, ever. We live on one pay check, with two adults and a 9 year old daughter (who acts like a boy LMAO, like mother like daughter :p), so we have a very strict budget, and I tend to make use of a LOT of freebies and just limit myself to $20 a month.
Seems to work for us... and we only bring in about $5.75 an hour. Though, we also don't have things like cable tv, satellite radio, etc. We don't buy dvd's, we don't buy a lot of computer related hardware, clothes are only bought when absolutely neccessary, ie something of ours is just no longer presentable or wearable, stuff like that. About the only things we really SPEND money on are rent, utilities, food, gas, phone, and the internet/ISP access. It does help.
You just have to be smart about it. shrugs Though if it came down to a choice between poser and a home? Pffth. I'd drop poser for a while and worry about the home first, thank you. This is just a hobby. It's not bringing me an income, heck I'm even lucky if I get more than 60 views on a piece of art here since I don't tend to do T&A shots, so I'm SURE not bringing in any money with this. You have to prioritize, make use of freebies, learn how to think outside the box a bit and possibly using stuff that's intended for one purpose to put it to use for a completely unrelated purpose (example : a lot of hair textures make beautiful reflection maps! Especially Kozaburo's.), keep a budget, stick to the budget, take advantage of sales, and things like plat. club that are cheap, etc... just be smart about it is all. :D

On a more serious note - as entertaining as it is to read through all of this.. wow I think I was totally LOST after the first three posts. This stuff makes my brain go boom!! :D It's fascinating, but I totally just do NOT get ANY of it to understand, either! LMAO!
