I use Thumbnailer to imbed the pngs into the Poser file so I don't even need the pngs anymore. But P6 insists I do. It's pushy.

Just to flog a dead horse, I emailed e frontier and this is what they said: (Not that I didn't believe ya Phil) "Unfortunately there just isn't any way to keep Poser from generating PNG previews when you add items to the library. You can always go back and replace 'em- I do that all the time, using rendered images and Photoshop composites- but you can't keep Poser from writing them in the first place. Might be simpler to write an Applescript that searches through specified library folders and pulls out all the PNGs it finds, and run it periodically." Poser 4 didn't generate pngs like Poser 6 does. Wonder why...

You could also edit the walk designer figure file in a text editor to use a different figure. Located here: Runtime/figures/walkDesignerFigure

If you use ThumbNailer, Poser files retain the thumbnail and you can chuck the pngs. They do add up. :)

I open the png, invert the alpha channel and save as a tif. Ran it through ThumbNailer and works fine now. A little time consuming but I hate having those pesky pngs sitting around. Is there a way to keep Poser 6 from generating pngs for each file?
