I would also check out the 'Terrific Trees' bundle and the 'Super Roots' bundle at C3D. I have the Terrific Trees and they are very good. You can see them in my gallery in the image called 'Gulp'. If you can't find the trees try seearching on the word Mangrove.
Also I believe Martin Frost has a swamp ecosystem as well at C3D. Try searching on 'Cypress'.

Thread: A Question About The Plant Editor | Forum: Vue
Here is a test to see if you get the same result that I do.
Load the Montezuma Cypress and open the plant editor.
Increase the resolution and click okay to exit the plant editor.
The tree will have changed shape and the trunk will be thicker.
Load a new Montezuma Cypress and open the plant editor.
Decrease the trunk diameter to -62 and click okay to exit the editor.
The tree will now have a thin trunk.
Open the plant editor and increase the resolution on the thin trunked Montezuma Cypress. Click on okay to exit the plant editor.
The tree will have a thick trunk and look similar to the result obtained at step #3. If you go back into the editor it will still say it has a trunk diameter of -62 but it will have no apparent effect on the tree.
Thread: A Question About The Plant Editor | Forum: Vue
Hi MNArtist,
No these are almost all of the purchased plants that I have ourchased and even some of the trees that come with Vue. For example, if I load the Montzuma Cypress and increase the resolution, the entire shape of the tree changes (e.g. it gets much larger, the diameter changes dramatically etc).
Hi bruno021,
For me it seems to be consistent with the all purchased tree species that I have that modify native Vue trees and also wiith some of the native trees as well. As I mentioned above, it has happened every time I have increased the reolution on the Montezuma Cypress. As far as the scene file, it even happens in the default scene. How do I record a video capture to send to e-on?

Thread: Vue 9 Extras CD | Forum: Vue
Well I finally got Vue 9 to read the files in the Vue 9 content folder. I first tried deleting all of the .prv files (as per Dim_Reaper's suggestion) to see if that would work with no success. I then tried deleting the Vue 9 content folders (again as per Dim_Reaper's suggestion). However, Vue wouldn't do that until I enabled it to see all files in the collections (both included content and the Cornucopia files). And even though there were still no files showing up, at least Vue allowed me to delete the folders from my collections. I then re-added the content folders as a collection and finally everything showed up as it should.
I would like to thank everyone who responded and helped me to solve this problem. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi esterau,
I am sorry to hear that you are having the same issue. It appears that the problem is happening to at least some of us regardless of whether we are on a Mac or PC. If I can't get this to work even with a re-install, then I will report this as a bug.
Thread: Vue 9 Extras CD | Forum: Vue
Hi Peggy,
Thanks for your reply. I have unzipped the CD files and they can be seen by Vue 8.5 in the Vue 9 Infinite content folder. Vue 9 can't see the content in the Vue 9 Infinite content folder but it can see the same content (eg the dinosaurs that come with Vue) in the Vue 8.5 content folder. I can make new collections and see the content in Vue 9 unless the folder contains the content from the Vue 9 content CD in which case I cannot see it. It is very, very strange. As I stated earlier it is not a big problem since I can see and use legacy content from the Vue 8.5 content folders, as well as all my purchased items, but I would like to see and use some of the new, specific content that is for Vue 9 such as some of the sample scenes.
Thread: Vue 9 Extras CD | Forum: Vue
Hi Mazak,
Thank you for your response. I have checked the path to the content folder and it is correct. That is why Vue 9 is finding the plants. I have tired creating a new collection but Vue 9 will still not see the files, but it will see the same files in the Vue 8.5 content folder. I have even tried copying the content from the Vue 9 content folder into a new folder with a different name, and then adding it as a collection but the result is the same. Anything that came on the Vue 9 Extras CD can't be read by Vue 9 including any legacy content, but the legacy content can be read by Vue 8.5. It is rather annoying, but not a major problem since much of the material is in the Vue 8.5 content folder and Vue 9 will read it there. It is the new sample scenes or anything new that comes with Vue 9 that I do not have access to and that I would like to open (I tried opening some of the sample scenes in Vue 8.5 but they would not open so I am assuming that they are new for Vue 9). I will try to create a new configuration file to see if that works otherwise the next step may be a re-install to see if that works.

Hi Mari-Anne,
I have checked the files and while many of them are Cornucopia files, there are also some included content files as well. For example, Vue 9 cannot even see the dinosaur and houses/buildings that come with it as included content even though the files are in those folders. And there are also a number of included sample scenes that cannot be seen also.
Having said that though, even when the library is set to view those Cornucopia files, they still can't be seen.
Thread: A Question of Scale | Forum: Vue
Thanks Bruno.
I wasn't sure if I was just messing up with the shadow map and it was working for other people. I will follow up that with e-on tech support and report it as a bug like you suggested.
Thread: A Question of Scale | Forum: Vue
Bruno,
Am I correct in assuming that the 10 times smaller applies if the internal unit is set to 1m? Then resetting the internal unit to 0.1m should account for that I assume?
And how does this apply to shadow mapping? I have tried everything that I can think of to get it to work properly with an internal unit set to 1m but the only thing that I can do to get it to work is to re-set the internal unit to 0.1 which defeats the purpose of the whole "real world units" idea.
Thread: A Question of Scale | Forum: Vue
I am finding that this scaling difference is affecting many of the textures on items that I have purchased for previous versions. This includes plants and objects. I have adjusted the size of the internal units and played with the scaling of the textures with no real success. I even make sure that they are coming in at real world sizes (eg a 25m tall tree is scaled so that it is 25m tall). However, I cannot get them to look like they did in previous versions. This is very disappointing as I have invested a fair bit of money on purchased items and if I can't get them to work for me now, that will be the end of my use of Vue 9.
Has anyone been able to successfully deal with this? If so, how did you do it?
Thread: A Question of Scale | Forum: Vue
I have found that the new internal unit in Vue 9 also seems to be impacting the shadow maps. I can't get them to work properly unless I reset the internal unit to equal 0.1m or less. I have also found that the "Apply to current scene" checkbox doesn't appear to be working and I have to reset the internal unit , exit Vue and re-start it for it to take effect.
Here is my thread on the shadow mapping with some images:
