Thread: imported 2d images are blue under Bryce7pro on MacOSX 10.6.8 | Forum: Bryce
Very sad, to me Bryce is the product that opened up a whole new world and changed my career path. Guess I will have to keep a few old macs around and running. Even hate the direction the macs are going nowadays too! And I've been a mac user 4ever.

Does anyone know? Are they working on a Mountain Lion compatible version of Bryce? Sure do miss the good ole days when the developers cared about their products.
Thread: Carrara 8 on a Mac | Forum: Carrara
Running carrara 8.1.1.12 in 64 bit version on an imac running 10.6.8. Also running latest greatest version of poser 2012 and Daz Studio. No problems no crashes. Am very affraid of moving up to 10.7 however.

Are you trying to install to a managed account? Only the admin accounts in Mac OSX can install software, as you need permissions to write to certain files)applications) being one.Â
Thread: Carrara 8 pro warning | Forum: Carrara
I dont recall where , but somewhere somehow sometime ago on the mac versions there was a conflict with the fonts. Had to hack some file to make Carrara find the right font then it would load up just fine. Any one remember this issue? Just wondering if it might be the culprit on the pc now.
Thread: 3ds files mac | Forum: Bryce
SO in the meantime I guess use the slow painful method of running 3ds files into Carrara and out as objects. The objects load just fine!Â
Thanks for that reply Dan good to know its not just me going cuckoo here.Â
Just bought a complete lab set of Bryce 6, going to be a a mess training the students to incorporate this method for loading 3ds files, and yes the lab is all imac intels.

Thread: Confused? Transposer or not? | Forum: Carrara
ooo much easier to figure out once i slowed down and looked at the browser closer and realized i could add all the runtime folders i want. thank you for your time
Thread: Confused? Transposer or not? | Forum: Carrara
Wow, this programs really growing complex. So if i want to use content from runtimes scattered all around my computer, it would be best to load up transposer, or try to drive myself insane and copy all my runtimes into one place?
almost makes me fear going from poser 5 atm to poser 7.
Thread: Transposer | Forum: Carrara
That brings up the question, I have been using and upgrading ever since the Raydream 5 days. Its getting difficult to keep up with the upgrades. What is it in C4 that I might find indespensible?
Thread: How does the importer work? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Thank you everyone. It seems to work really well with poser 4 and Pro. Now If I can just get an importer for Carrara Studio that handles the materials like Bryce. I've never been able to get the dang eyes right in Carrara.
Thread: What to replace with? | Forum: Bryce
Wow, that statement created quite a bit of discussion. On the teaching aspect I have been using Bryce (mac) versions for over 5 years. This year I will be ceritified officially as a Technology Applications teacher in Texas even though I've been teaching Graphics and animation Since 1997. I will just hold off and hope that Bryce for Mac continues, after all its not the only arsenal in my teaching. I was just wondering which direction I would take if it was not developed.
