I think this is the base of a very interesting image. You say you are going to do some post work, I would remove the background and add some sky, you can make this easier by shooting against a lighter background. If you play a bit you can overlay the sky onto the board area and get it to look like it is reflecting. Nice shot hope you have fun with it :o)

PunkClown is this the naturalist in you coming out? That's two shots without a tap a sink or some other household appliance in um. Like the composition think you should do something with the bright area in the bottom right. :o)

Yum! fish and chips (sorry thats my tea) and a nice bit of autumn colour :) punkclown I keep looking at this sort of tree shot myself, I like the way the black branches make a framework for the leaves going to have a go in about 4 months time. Big Jeff goes back to his tea, come on now you lot whos nicked my fish :o)

Go for it Michelle, I don't have painter but it looks fun. I tell you when I started using Photoshop I just couldn't stop :o) I would advise, play lots to start with but don't save a thing cus it look great when you start. just explore, then when you've sorted what it all does, go for it :o)

Hi Crystalwizz I like this thread made me think a bit. Now, I would go back that split second when you just missed the best shot of your life. I would have 24 fantastic shots and no scrapers, what joy:) Ps going to use your idea at my next photographic club discussion night thanks :)

Thread: Another baby pic, but need advice on this one | Forum: Photography
Another nice picture, I would not worry about the thirds rule on this and crop the left-hand side its a bit empty and I feel it makes the picture unbalanced. Now you say you have cropped the right do you not feel this makes the picture tight in on her foot? Love her eyes nice catch light and the hat just adds that bit of colour. I like picture #1 from your other post nice and clean and soft just as babies should be and the fact she is in the centre just adds to the strength of the picture.

Nice one Jacoggins this is really hard to do I think you have captured the moment well with a nice feeling of movement. I remember taking loads of this sort of shot at a motor sport event, only to get bits of cars leaving the frame, never did work it out they seamed in the frame when I pressed the shutter :)

I don't think you are going wacko, you just been looking at Punkclowns stuff. I am sure he rubs off on you, find myself looking at all sort of stuff nowadays, but I guess that why we come here to be influenced and inspired. I like the shot nice how your eye goes for the water droplet. You might crop out some of the distracting background frame thing :) Bigg jeff looks up OMG! 103 minutes online got to go get some rest, laters :)
