If I add 2-3 of my computers together I can get 20GIGs. Hmmm... 4 will get me up to 26GIGs... where's my DOSbox! Folks shouldn't assume that everyone has massive amounts of storage or the latest peripherals. Even a year old computer is obsolete these days, and most of us can't upgrade every year. Carolly
Thread: Helpful Comments on Viki character.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It is the lack of armor over her vitals which worries me! One poke in the tummy with a fork, for pete's sake, and she'd be done for. Why armor up a shoulder and leave the torso bare and vulnerable? Carolly

Jeff, But supermodels are often anorexic, so the feminine fullness would be missing in their faces. I've also noticed that "soft & cuddly" isn't the fashion rage this decade whereas "tough and angry" pretty much defines the glares projected by advertisers. Carolly

That is the sort of thing you should be able to get at 3dcafe. It would be in 3ds format, but importable. Carolly

Neat! The lighting may have been "by guess and by golly", but it works... the muscles in the man's face are very nicely illuminated. hmmm... "Expatriate"? Carolly

Nodemaster, If the lighting from the glowyball is that intense, his fingers would be more silhouetted where they are between us and the light. I also think there would be more light on the characters' faces and upper bodies with faster fall-off into shadow on their lower parts. (This is how we know that it is a light source he is holding.) Just some suggestions. I like the concept and the background is very striking. Carolly

SnowSultan, OK... but what if I want someone standing in fog (like on an English moor, stuff swirling about the knees). This isn't distance away from the camera (z axis) but top to bottom (y axis). Any way to do this? Carolly

Thread: BBay Club.....I LOVE IT!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I was nervous about doing the credit card thing online and couldn't print out the form, so called Sheryl at BBay and got signed up over the phone, stuff ordered, and in my mailbox about an hour later, if that. :) Now that I'm signed up, I can just wave the credit card at them. Too easy. It would take longer mailing a check, but if it is in US funds there shouldn't be any problem no matter where in the world you live. Just call Sheryl (she's nice) and get set up. Maybe I've been extra-selective, but everything I have bought there has been top quality... just wish I could afford more models! Carolly

Actually, I met Dan at the Game Developer's Conference... and knew that I'd seen him before. BTW, he seemed like an awfully nice guy. Carolly
Thread: fairy wand | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you take the basic cylinder in the props section of Poser and make it very skinny, you can get a wand.
Thread: My final charriot, soon in the store. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sweet and swift! I'm pretty sure that Daio did "Arabian" morphs for the Poser pony, but we'll need some plumes and harness for them. :) Thanks, Carolly

Hatshepsut's? (I know I've seen this, or something like this, somewhere) An avenue of sphinxes, perhaps? :) Carolly
