I hear you... when I post one of my music productions (other sites), and renders here, I can spot, canned fake comments and I dont know why people bother doing that.
I wanna see comments like "Great effort, I would recommend you change the lighting this way, because...."
I only comment and rate on images that I can see time and effort was put into and overall looks good to me. If I see an image that you can tell they just got into 3D or whatever, I ignore it and will comment in the future when they start getting good at it.
I dont find myself compeled to comment back on someone who has left a comment on my art, I will check to see what kind of art the commenter has, and If I like what I see I will comment back and rate.
In regards to the Gallery and what is featured, it is hard to ingore that it is Poser heavy, and this is nothing new, I've seen heated topics regarding the subject many years ago in these forums.
Personaly, I dont care for poser renders, there are very good ones out there, but the majority is simply buy content, pose and render, and I dont know if you realise, that there is a big market of adult websites that feature adult images that you can clearly tell were done in poser.
Now on the topic of rating/comments, I noticed the time of day also seems to have an influence on how many comments/votes you get.
Also the commenting on Pal's thing is true, I've seen tons of comments on images and wondered, if something was wrong with my eyes, because what I was seeing, and what the comments were didnt match.

That is awesome, now I think he needs a couple of his companions.
Ravage, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ratbat, Rumble, Frenzy, Slugfest and Overkill :)
As much as I like the new Transfomers look, I do prefer the original look.

There is a piece of software that allows you to interface your PC to your Amiga even if the hard drive on your amiga is not working.

Quote - Lightning is like a server, so you open up the file on the slowest machine because all its doing is sending out the packets for the faster machines to render out the tiles, when they're working the "server machine" can be set to render as well.
I recall the option for the host to render at the same time as the client machines was removed after version 5.5 is that back now?

The other Bryce Lightning machines will be mostly Pentium 4 - 2.8+Ghz with Hyperthreading.
Once I got it all configured I'm going to compare to my previous benchmark results.

What I mean is.. can I put 64Bit version on my Main PC and 32Bit on the client machines that will help with the network render?
Thread: 6 days to render a 20 second animation | Forum: Bryce
This is the type of scenario that I want to help people out with. Once I get my rig up and running we can do some benchmarks and see how good it is.

I just tought of one more thing. 32bit or 64bit? The O/S is Windows 7 64-Bit, but if I decide to network render my other machines are 32-bit.
I guess I'll have to test and see if I can mix 64-bit with 32-bit.

The new computer is a fresh install, so I wont have any browser or preferences set.
I still have my old computer, but I dont think there is much on it that I need to carry over.
I store my project files on a NAS (Network Assisted Storage) Device.

Ok I found the A3000 Kick v2.0 Disks, they are in ADF Format, there must be a tool you can use to write it back to a floppy.
Send me a site mail with e-mail address and I'll e-mail it too you. Very tiny.

Shhhh... I'm one of those old Amiga users out there. I have an Amiga 2000HD which at the moment is dorment.
Let me dig through my archives and see if I have a KickStart image that you can write back to a Floppy Disc.
I can also point you to some Amiga forums if you need to repair the boot sector.
I believe there is a certain forum admin that was previously also an Amiga user, not naming any names. ;)
