maybe double your RAM but other than that it would be basically a waste of money to upgrade much from there at this time.

it'll work anywhere, I keep mine in My Documents too. You can compress any runtime you want but only P5 up will be able to use them compressed.

straight out of the box Jessi looks better to me but V3 has had time to get so many character packs that once you add those she's got the edge. Having said that, many seem to say V3's rigging is better but to be honest the way her chest and collars are set up sucks shit, it's absolutely awful and a major screw up by Daz. The dark rings it causes on the inner breast and the difficulty in getting the breasts looking right needs to be fixed as much as Jessi's Posette rigging. V2 was far superior than either V3 or Jessi in this area of the models.

I think most merchants are followers, not leaders so no I doubt they'll get much support unless a few of the high profile merchants do several items for them. A critical mass of support if you will must be reached for any character to become successful and that doesn't happen often. The best bet would be if CL opened a store to compete with Daz and offered plenty of new items to support their characters but I doubt that will happen.

I have every problem Mason described with Poser 5, haven't fooled enough with P6 to know if they all exist there yet... but I fully expected going in that it would take at least a couple service patches to get everything shipshape. Right now I'm happy staying with P5 for the most part and slowly easing into P6 while waiting for CL to release their patches.

How good Jessi turns out will depend entirely on support from merchants. If she gets support then she's got a very good chance of being equal to V3, if she doesn't then we'll probably see CL stop really trying to compete with figures and just concentrate on the proggie itself. It would be a waste of their time to create further figures if these new ones fail to gain support again.

I always love people that try new software for a couple hours then lable it crap... try waiting to figure out how everything works before condeming it, it's possible that the scene you've set up isn't optomized for P6. The way morphs and textures are handled is different and your old scene very well could be bloated compared to the way new scenes will be created.

This is why I picked the shipped version rather than download, so I could spend 2 weeks watching others tear their hair out rather than doing that myself. I don't have much left and I want to keep what I've got :) With any luck CL will have their first couple service patches out in that length of time.

it looks like CL might be doing with Jessi and James what Daz does with V3 and M3... give the base characters for free and have morph packs for sale. There are face morph sets for sale at RDNA for the new characters.

I wouldn't uncompress all the obz files (just do it to make changes then recompress them) because the crz etc... files will be looking for obz, not obj files.
