i got a note for the update a long time ago hon...i didn't really bother updating it since i don't use or purchase hair anymore but yes i do remember getting a notice of the update.

i think it varies from person to person. i am still yet to learn a lot of things in poser as most of us are but yes i think poser is good to get your feet wet and start you up into 3d. as some have suggested poser 5 or daz is the way to go, they don't cost much and daz studio is free and it will give you an idea of how 3d works. it's a lot of fun but be forewarned, you're bound to get hooked by it and your back account will never look the same ever again, lol.

my congratulations to banshee and ICM, those were some awesome entries and a special thanks to the mernac team and renderosity for such a wonderful contest!!!! it was a lot of fun and since it's my first ever contest, it is also a nerve wracking one. many, many thanks indeed!!!!

no whining here..just drawing, rather rendering really. but we all await patiently, as much patience  we can possibly muster. oh and thanks for the best wishes jimbob but i am rooting for someone else to win ;)

patience is fine but i think what everyone is more concerned about is the courtesy of keeping the public informed about whatever changes made. i will take any, there are so many things that can happen that can muddle a well thought plan. i and some of the others who have entered the contest would definitely want to know what is up.  my thanks to lilian h for the reply...we at least know what was causing the delay however late the announcement.

i have seen this post since yesterday and today i awoke to find a simple question unsanswered. i'm sorry but if i ask a question politely, i think i would deserve an answer from somebody who has some idea so this person doesn't have to spend an entire 24 hours wondering what on earth is going on. if the judges are having some difficulties or still could not determine a winner the least they could do is let everyone know that the results will be delayed. you expect people to submit their entries on time, these people expect the result to be announced at the date they said it will be announced. failing that, we should at least hear from somebody about the delay because where i come from it is called common bloody courtesy!!!!

hmmm, i would have thought that since we get a lot of flack from the "elites" (as they wish us to think of them) that we'd be much more tolerant. besides, to me there is no difference whatsoever between DS and poser. i could be wrong of course but i never really get to compare the two for too long. i only played with DS for two days before my poser came in the mail.

it shouldn't...i started with daz studio but decided that poser 6 is for me. deleted DS without a problem ;)

michael3 and david bases are free at daz and as for the freebie add on textures/moprhs you will find that renderosity has tons of them in the freebie section ;) i'm sure others can/will post some that are off site.

you know one thing that really frustrates me is the fact that when a couple divorce, they get selfish. fortunately enough for me, my ex-husband and i agreed that once divorce, it is not about us anymore but our two daughters. he and i work hard on each end to give both of them the love, the emotional security and  two good homes for my daughters to call theirs. it is not about you nor is it about this man...it is about the step son. you are going about it the right way karen, his demeanor sure doesn't say much about his character except for the fact that he is an arse. pity the kid is not your real son hon. i will be rooting for you and hope that he will see the light someday soon and figure out that through all these, the son is there watching and when he's old enough to finally find his voice to tell him just how stupid his dad is - he will.
