Don't worry Lawndart. Rest assured I will remain silent when the bleeding (or bleating) starts. Hey, if you are one of the blindly loyal or somehow avoided the blood bath, I'm happy for you - really. But if you are to find fault with my stating my opinion for what the future holds, you must equally condemn anyone who praises a product that they don't yet own either. I loved P4 and made many investments in hardware based on the promises of what P5 didn't deliver and further was insulted over and over on user error and system configuration claims despite having been in the field for 20 years. (Oh well. Those same enhancements were applied to Lightwave.) If it wasn't a colossal disaster, Cooper and crew would still be there. Don't put your head in the sand and pretend it didn't happen. Don't tell me I shouldn't be concerned about fronting funds and beta testing for free without even being offered fresh install CD's as compensation at a time where a class action lawsuit could have easily erased CL from the planet. I'm sure the new crew is working hard. Harder than they have to had we not been abandoned while trying to help. With the competition of Daz Studio looming, I really hope it kicks them in the butt to get their act together. If not, this will be the Daz forum. I just think the MAC users shouldn't get burned like the INTEL users did by all the hype and High-fives.

Pain is the coin of the realm. Welcome ye MAC victims, uh, users. Prepare to defend yourselves. There are plenty of "user error" or "it's your machine" comments headed your way. With your superior bright, beautiful monitors on MAC's you'll be better able to appreciate the true ugliness of Don and Judy. But on the bright side, you get to pay less to be a beta tester than we pre-orderers did. Maybe you'll have fewer patches unless a new security scheme has been installed. Don't worry about the content room. It was always a myth. If you've got two processors in your G4, your render times should only increase to about 3 times what you are used to.

Do you want me to continue on it? Do you want it to fit Michael or Victoria? More wrinkles? smaller? larger? Should it stick out or drape on the shoulders?

Like onnetz says... check your frame rate.... for simple web stuff you can get away with 12 or 15 fps... but not much slower. remember most video you see in film or tv is 24 or 30 fps.... if your movements are radical it will be jumpy.... if you have say a baseball player swinging a bat all the way around in only 5 frames, its going to look jerky

About me... I am an animator so I have to pose zillions of times so I think I tend to put more strain on the interface. In the materials room I have noticed that if you tend to push it by adding subtracting moving, changing nodes that you alert the C exception demons to your presence. I have found the face room to be a bit of a wrestling match and sometimes the "apply shape" command take its inspiration from Dali as opposed to user input. I did manage to post a tip that helped others with symmetry but I have yet to achieve results that looked like the person I was trying to model. I wish they'd let you use any mesh in the face room. I know I could get V2 to align way before Judy will ever yield. Also I am anal about not having apps run in the background. Ask anybody who develops using MS Visual Studio and you'll know that for sanity's sake you keep a clean house.

Aleks: Strange thing about price. Did you ever play with blender? Radiosity, Particles with life times/velocities gravity and wind, Vertex and spline modeling, intelligent volumetric light (detects holes in objects), bones/IK, and even an sequence editor to make avis.... It is free and only 2 meg in size. I've been toying with setting up victoria in it but the amount of work....ugh. But due to this P5 release I decided to bit the bullet and spend the money on Lightwave. I should have it on wednesday. (Hopefully I'll create some models for use in poser maybe earn back the money spent on LW and P5.)

Lalverson: By Power User I would say that you go beyond presets, try ambitious lighting and shadows, sets, poses, create and map textures, Do animation. I tend to see many renders that are 1 white light with a character on a simple set, or no background at all. I do see other work that looks amazing but it generally is ton's of photoshop postwork.
