That was my first thought, till I saw the timer was set to 250ms. Lowering the bucket size (not render box! had my own memory problem there.) made the render time slightly longer so I reckon it's a memory thing.

If you are new to Poser, then see if you can get hold of a copy of the Poser 4 manual. The tutorial in there, written by Grey, is a superb introduction to Poser. Try asking Curious Labs for a downloadable copy- I think they should include it on the P5 CD. When you've done that one, then the P5 tutorial will introduce you to the new features. P4 Tutorial is Chapter 3. P5 Tutorial is Chapter 11.

And at least read the tutorial in the Poser 5 Reference Book if you don't actually do it.

OoooH! OoooH! I think I know! Make sure your AVI file is saved at the speed of the animation in Poser ( normally 30 frames per second). If it's saved at say, 1 frame per second, then the first frame of your AVI texture will appear in frames 1 - 30, the second in frames 30 - 60, etc. (That's assuming Poser is set to 30 fps).

Looks like a memory problem, I reduced the size of the render box and it worked fine last night.

When Windows starts acting weird, I often find running the defragmeter follwed by a reboot fixes things.

:0) Well I made my changes and it worked fine for my simple test scene, but when I used it on a bigger 'real' scene, the renders only came out a quarter done. Any ideas why this would happen?

Looked at it already. It terrific! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Strangely, when I saved it, the line... if NextFrame < 0: return # Handling the cancel got corrupted which was actually quite good because it made me figure out what the program was doing to fix it. Now all I have to do is incorporate my code into your skeleton, which looks very easy to do. Did I say thank you? Thank you.

Thank you Ockham- I've downloaded it and I hope to get time to look at this over the weekend.

Plus- For each Poser scene (pz3 file), if you save it after rendering it saves the render settings for that scene, including this option.

Whoa! 1- In the key frame editor darag down and select everything in frame 16 and click on key frame. 2- Do the same the frame 30. 3- select frames 1 - 15 and hit the delete key to clear everything out. 4- Now you can select everything for frames 16 - 30 and drag them to frames 1 - 15 and then delete frames 16 to 30.
