Adding nodes to QTVR can be done. I checked the Apple site (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/developers/tools.html) but couldn't find a freebie. This company has a program to do that for both MAC & WIN, don't know the price: http://www.vrtoolbox.com/VRtoolbox.html
Thread: Has anyone sold artwork before? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I havn't sold anything but have purchased thousands of photos & art over the years for the companies that I worked for. Some of the paintings (original oils) were up to $16,000 each & that was for full reproduction rights only, the artist kept the paintings and sold them for an addtl $18,000 with no repro rights. Iv've also paid as little as $60.00 for print reproducion rights for photography. As the original creator of the "art" you still own its' copyright even if you assign it to someone else UNLESS you are an employee doing art for a company or you agree to any terminology that deams the art as "work for hire". That translates into "this person was temporarily employed by us to do this art, therefore all rights are reserved by the company". Just be fair & the more work you sell & the better your stuff is regognized the higher price you can charge.

Ohman, leave the nose as it is. Most people will recognize her from the Star Treck series before she had her nose morphed. Very nice work.

Thread: Question for Carrara/RDS forum members... | Forum: Carrara
I don't know how you find the time to do all the things you'r already involved in. If these new ideas are possible then more power to ya! I wouldn't like to see anyone have to re-write things from the manual but would appreciate ideas on tips & tricks and work-arounds that people discover.
Thread: My monthly plea for help. | Forum: Carrara
Don't "try" to do anything at first, a sure fire way to become frustrated. Just plan on spending several hours just cliking buttons (& looking at the manual) to see what happens & to learn where the optons are located. Don't bother to learn the keyboard shortcuts if you plan on changing to Carrara, that will be another source of frustration. They replaced the quick "any window zoom" with an animated zoom you have to mouse-about to access. Also can't change camera views "on the fly" without more mouse actions. Another good thing to do is to disect some of those pre-made models in your browser. Jump in on some of those interesting shapes and see how they were made in their respective modelers. Change the envelopes & symetry settings & see how it effects the parts then start moving control points around to see what happens.
Thread: Carrara Patch is Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | Forum: Carrara
Thanks for the info, I DL'ed the patch and it seems to have worked. I can actually render a scene without a crash under MAC OS 8.1. Have only used it for about 20 min but so far, so good.
Thread: Carrara faster than RDS? natural water? | Forum: Carrara
There is a considerable improvement in the render times from RDS 5 to 5.5 and then a modest gain from 5.5 to CAR. If most on your work is built out of primarily geometric shapes as your example then the free form modeler should work fine. It seems you are already familiar with that. The disadvantage is if you need to convert them to obj or some other format for export, not easy to control unless you want to spend a lot of time at it. I'm not familiar with other 3d apps.
Thread: How to animate animals with Poser4 (especially horses)? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I havn't animated horses but for people I just do the first, middle & last pose & then "interpolate". Turns out pretty good for simple things. This may work for the horse? For some poses see this link: http://people.ne.mediaone.net/daio/index.html
Thread: Carrara Free Stuff.... | Forum: Carrara
If I can get this App to work I'll try posting some things. Do you know the compatibility of car/rds files between MAC & Windows OS? RDS can't open car files & you can't save to RDS from CAR so seems that models should be uploaded in RDS format for the most bennefit?
Thread: Need help getting Poser Factory's kimono to work | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
On some of these files that arn't in english I just open the pz3 file in Poser & when it says "can't locate..." I write down the folder & path name & object it's looking for. Then quit & file the parts accordingly, re-launch & viola!

Sorry for the bad info, I was too impressed with the image to re-read your info. Funny thing is, I have the memory of an elephant too, just can't express it!

I believe this was at Jim Burton's Home Page: http://victorian.fortunecity.com/impressionist/1030/ Dosn't seem to be on-line at the moment but this site was active just a couple weeks ago. He has some really nice stuff at Bbay.
Thread: Sooth my weary mind | Forum: Carrara
Well, I finally recieved my upgrade from RDS 5.5 to Carrara, happy to report that I didn't have to pay full fare! Installed on a G3 350/OS 8.6 at work & played with it for about 15 minutes, seemed to work OK. Installed at home on a G3 233/OS 8.1, and every time I try to "render" the program crashes. Probably some extension conflict that I'll have to hunt down (so fun!). Can't save as Painter riff format but havn't played with it long enough to tell anything else. The window layouts & function are more similar to Infini-D then RDS. I'll reserve judgement 'till I've played with it some more. One thing they should have put on the disk are some of the animated examples from Infini-D. Shows some powerful effects that can be acheived with the particle system like blowing smoke & fireworks that were very well done.
