This pic was done with all textured 'primitives' (with the exception of the SkyDome and V3)

I was trying to prove to myself that I don't have to be dependent on pics I download for backgrounds and this is what I came up with.

(Web in BG is just the Rope Swing, modified of course ;o)

I've had Poser crash on me a few times, but was when I was trying to open up saved Poser files. Only 2 files so far crash Poser when I try and open them, Cam for V4, and the Lady of the Ring. So I just deal with reloading all the morphs when I feel like toying around with them.

BTW, I am using Poser 7. Not sure, but installing some Daz content, it said I had the Pro pack, and it installed extra features for the content loaded.  So yea, I dunno about that one.

I think I am about there. I know what you mean about touchy, sheesh...

I used his textures as a base. I'm altering them a little bit and making my own bump / displacement maps. Changed the eyes cuz the white eyes in a render that's NOT comic / cartoony  drives me a lil crazy. But yeah, I used his work as a base. I'm not good enuf to make things from scratch yet, are you crazy lol

Of course, I could cheat and render the eyes separately, then PhotoShop them in, but where's the fun in that lol

Those are some awesome renders. I don't wanna over use that suit and play it out, but I will try out a few new things like see if I can get some shaders to work, and if I do anything worth posting, I'll put it up. (was that a run-on sentence or what...  My English teachers would be so mad lol)

Yeah, I kinda had an idea about how RT worked, I've messed with some rendering programs back when I was in high school. I just was doing a test in a mirrored box to see just how many reflections it would go back. Looked rather cool, kinda wished I saved it.

Oh I've already delved into that a little. Put a character in a mirrored room, turned raytrace bounces up to like 20, and went to bed whilst it rendered. So I couldn't tell ya how long it took lol

OMG... Ok, all these settings and just how significantly affect the image are what's going to make me insane lol I'm not going to bother you guys with every revision lol
But I do believe my min shading rate was 0.500 in those renders.

I built my pc initially for gaming:
AMD Phenom 9600 2.5Ghz x 4
2 gigs XMS DDR2 @ 1066 Mhz
and dual 512 MB Nvidia 9800 GT's in SLI

I know it's not a workstation, but it seems to do okay.

Thank you everyone for all the unput. The "reflections"  are just images, ray tracing was disabled for rendering.I am still getting used to which option has what effect on the final renders, so I now will turn up the pixel shading to at least 3. Hell, up until 2 days ago, I had no idea there was a "separate process" and "number of threads" in the general Prefs. After I discovered those, whoa boy, that made a HUGE difference considering I have a Quad Core.

 A mix of both, which I think I prefer.
