Adham, for that pose you'll have to get help from the pros'. . . you need no help with your prose. Thanks for the chuckle .

You may want to check the thread below - Breaking things apart... by DP4HIRE on 01/08 19:41 - That way you are able to use the native shaders in RDS.

Ghostofmacbeth- You can edit CR2's on MAC OS, you just need a text editor that will open "any file" in its' text form. I have used "BBEdit Lite 4.0" (freeware) and it works great. You just need to re-save under a new name and make sure that the "creator" type is pozer by using ResEdit or run the file over the applescript converters to change the creator info to Pozer. I havn't tried this on P4 files but it works on P3 CR2's. Not sure if Martins App does this, I use the older ones by Hulbert (Poser3 PC-Mac Converters).

Or: Jump into FFM, add a control point where you want to seperate the leg. Then highlite that point and "create cross section". Then jump out into scene and "duplicte" leg, name one upper leg & rename other one lower leg. Then "jump-in" on each one (create new master), highlite the cross sections that don't belong with the name and "disconect from next cross section" in the options window. The advantage here is not having to rebuild parts in the MFM and you still retain the FreeForm model. Once you convert to the mesh model you can't go back. Try it on a simple cube first.

"PCF Decoder" by Paul Vader decodes Objcation files (PCF files which are encoded files). Martins' Maconverter V.1 & after will also encode/decode these PCF files as long as you have the original "seed file".

COOL tutorial! I was too impressed with the presentation to pay much attention to the info. Thanks for the inspiration.

Glad to hear that it's real. You can have several multiple views and windows open at the same time in previous versions of RDS, go to windows: new perspective.
Thread: Need help with modeling hair | Forum: Carrara
The free-form modeler is the way to go if you plan on doing all new hair models. MFM is OK for minor tweaks, too labor intensive for me. Besides, the vector tools are very similar to Illustrator which I'm more familiar with. The "trick" is to learn where to place extra sections along paths and where to place extra vector points before saving as an object when you'r done (still working on that). Start by importing a Poser head into RDS, enlarge 2000% and start creating hair "sections" witin a new window so you can see instant updates. I find the "free" envelope to work best. Try to keep sections to a minimum overall and try to not add addtl vectore points until your almost done. You'r really only working with stretched-out and flatened tubes shaped around a head. Simple, right? Right! When done, re-import into Poser @ 17.25%.
Thread: MetaStream (Present and Future) | Forum: Animation
Who cares if some models are stolen from hobbyists? The big thrust on this metastream thing is for on-line shopping and e-commerce, the "cyberwishbook" of the future! People viewing these things could'nt care less about the "model" but only the cost of the product.
Thread: Metastream Content on a Mac | Forum: Animation
I've been waiting for almost a year for them to reply to my querry to their website regarding the mac plugs. The "read-me" file that came with RDS 5.5 mentions the mac .mts export but it's not on the disk! Just remembered, MC is in corporate partnership with Intel. Too bad, I thought they wanted to push this metastream stuff. Mabey they don't know that the majority of pro graphic artists and web content creators are on macs. I suppose secretaries can take 3-d pictures of items for content, just as they do with cheap digital cameras for high-end printing.

I'm fairly certain that there is a "bunch" of grapes as well as other types of foods on the Ray Dream CD, free models.
