Yeah, great advice moogal! Especially the one about the hand twist.
It also reminds you to try out your poses. If you can´t do it then in all likelyhood neither can your character (just try twisting your hand without twisting you forearm.
Thread: Faceshop Pro thread closed by staff after degenerating into a flamefest | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
A short quote from Karen:
"Threads are locked when they degenerate so far as to become useless"
How exactly is this thread useful for the Poser community? Did you mean when they become useless for the moderator? I think the posts in this thread belong in a chat room or even MSN messenger. And if you need to let of steam, open a blog site.
If I´m not mistaken this is a POSER forum not a philosophical venue to change the world and the internet is crammed with sites where you can trade cute cat pictures and tell funny stories. Here it seems pretty USELESS.
I don´t care if you lock this thread or not but consistancy is a virtue
Thread: Poor Poser? Urgh. Time for some tough love, kids. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well I simply have to disogree with just about everything MR. Penguinisto said. Why? Here´s my reasoning:
First off, art shouldn´t be measured in time and effort. I know that CG artists take a LOT of time perfecting their images and sometime the results are amazing. But unless you have some experience in CG art, they can seem extremely dull.
If you browse the Maya or Max galleries most of the images are WIP´s or single objects. I´d rather see another image of Vicky in a temple then another image of a wineglass on a wooden table, no matter how long it took to model it!
As for the helpful tips that Penguinisto** **suggested, I really find it annoying when people include words like "Never do that..." when talking about art. Although it can be good to restrict yourself to progress or try something new, you shouldn't have it as a rule not to do or use something.
If you want to impress someone (and I´m not talking ONLY about the almighty CG artists), take time and pride in what you do.
You see, alot of us aren´t doing images to show off to other artists. We´re doing it for our own amusement. I don´t care if anyone can do what I do better in a more advanced application. It doesn´t make him better then me or a better artist.
I´m gonna stop ranting about this now as my brain´s starting to hurt.
Cheers, Vestmann

I think that would be Poser and Photoshop. There are some very good Tutorials on texturing for Poser in the MP.
Thread: What's the big deal about PoseMagic? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
WOW some thread! Seems like you scared the original poster away:) I bought PoseMagic and I like it a lot. It doesnt completely replace posing in Poser, nor is it supposed to I think. The most common thing to ignore when posing is adjusting the eyes and fingers as it can be quite hard and time consuming, so just the ability to pose the hand, and fingers in one place as well as moving the eyes, makes this product worth the money for me. Hope to see some new and exciting soon from William_the_Bloody. Cheers.

Wow1! Great render! And thanks for the tip on the lighting. Im working on a render that needs to be real and I agree that the IBL dries out the skin. Great tip.
Thread: Rendering to new window in P6? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah Ive used the Area render and I find it very useful. There are so many improvements concerning workflow with P6 like the render Wipe but I wish I could hit render and it would open in a new window like it did in P5. Then again, if that option is out it's a small sacrifice for all the new gimmicks. Thanks for helping out guys
Thread: ...and the Download has Started!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There are two simple things that makes P6 a whole new experience for me. The ability to re-use shadows and textures between renders. That means that if you've done all you're texturing you check "keep Textures" and you wont have to load them each time you render!! Talk about speeding up the workflow.

Thread: ...and the Download has Started!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ill see what I can do Opera. Its installing now. Hei fugazi, are you using a download manager? You should use GetRight. I download up 6 or 7 times faster when using GetRight...
