One last question: Where can I get the best price on Vue 4 and Mover 4 (for Windows)? I have Bryce 4 and thought I might be able to take advantage of the cross-over upgrade that e-on offers, but I believe they require a Bryce 4 registration card or invoice, which I never kept.

Wow! What a great forum! Thanks to all of you for your help and patience in walking me through this. I am going to purchase Vue 4, Mover and Poser 4. YEEHAAAA!!!

Thanks, krimpr. Another question: Let's say I buy Poser 4 and Vue 4. Will owning the Propack help this combination? If so, specifically how? (I don't intend to buy the likes of Lightwave, etc.)

Thanks, Ed. I'll check it out. And yes, render time is very important to me. It takes lots of hours to render a few seconds of animation in Bryce 4, especially since I render at 30 fps for video. And thanks for your input, Philippe. I will check out the Poser forum.

...but thank all of you for your help. I really do appreciate it. Sorry it had to end this way. Vue looked really good except for the Poser problem.

Wow. I just found out (from e-on) that Vue 4 will not work with Poser 5 unless you also have Poser 4. Bummer. Since I plan to buy Poser 5 (and don't have Poser 4), I definitely will not be buying Vue 4. (I already have a program [Bryce 4] that doesn't work (well) with Poser 5, and don't need to buy another one :o/

Thanks, Guitta. I'll consider what you said. Is there anyone out there who can tell me how Vue 4's render time compares to Bryce 5's? (without network rendering)

Thanks for the feedback. Regarding interactivity, as I mentioned in my first post, I want to export to VHS tape. The purpose is to create a product on VHS tape that can be sold for entertainment,as a video product to be played on peopl's VCR's. And there are a LOTS of things you can do in Premiere that you can't do in Flash (Lot's of filters for special effects) Also, I believe that the only way I can export to VHS tape is to tape is to take it through an NLE first. So, again, I would like to ask if anyone out there has had any experience with doing what I want to do, and if they can give me some advice. Thanks.

Is there no one on this Bryce forum that can give me any direction re: network rendering...or is my breath just really bad and no one has the heart to tell me? :o]

Thanks for your replies. Wolf359, I look forward to seeing your stuff. Ken, I do understand the server space issue, as well as download time. But having said this, I must say that I haven't heard much on this forum regarding animation issues. That's the main reason I asked the question re: Bryce possibly not being a popular animating program. I have animated in it a bit and was looking for "hot tips", shortcuts, etc. You know - the kind of stuff that I see all the time on this forum re: still pics.
Thread: Bryce 5 or Vue d'Esprit 4? | Forum: Bryce
Again, thanks all. I still haven't heard from anyone re: animation. The process by which Bryce 4 creates animation does not seem extremely intuitive to me. How does it compare to Vue 4? Does Vue 4 have any plug-ins? (Bryce 4 has KPT3, which is fun) Also, how does Vue import images compared to Bryce? Can Vue 4 do anything with Hash AM objects?
Thread: Bryce 5 or Vue d'Esprit 4? | Forum: Bryce
Sharen, I have asked this same question on the Vue Forum, but no replies yet. But I am interested in hearing from those who have used Bryce 5 (or 4) and Vue 4. I own Bryce 4 (started with Bryce 3) and understand what it's about, but have just heard of Vue. I would really like to hear about how Bryce's animation ability compares with Vue's overall. Animation is very important to me - I'm not so interested in still images. Also, comparisons in render time would be helpful - Bryce takes a LONG time... Thanks for any info.
