That's the word: "cool"! Very sinister...makes me think of some mad scientist's laboratory and the creatures he keeps there in dark water...hehehe...

As long as you have to ask and need someone else's opinion: definately no.

Thanks, Swamp for the excellent suggestions. I have several runtimes, but your method looks quite good. Would you mind enter a bit into details? how you can bring these files into a face library for example. (different extensions, no?)

Thread: How to bend a leg as if climbing stairs | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I will have to make this more difficult. To go up the apples (cockney for stairs. apples and pears: stairs), well, physically do so, and pay attention to your body. This is a very good way to learn how to pose. You will notice that your hips move also. When youlift your left foot and move it forwards on the stair, your pelvis also moves its left side forwards, and also sligthly upwards. This also happens when you walk, but on the stairs, your shoulders do not move in the opposite way, but in the same way: left foot forwards is pelvis and shoulder girdle left side forwards. If you only move the leg forwards, you get a rather "stiff" and woody movement, not unlike the ancient Egyptian style.

Just don't let ithe app calculate the map. Fill in the correct size yourself.

Indeed: in English "forums" is correct, and "fora" is also accepted so there was no need to change it.

Thread: Us brits being ripped off again? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Opera guy: when people are allowed here to talk about not being able to upgrade at the lowest price, when sheer publicity for an app that no one really knows what it will be is allowed to lure people into pre-ordering, when people can post complaints about Daz' store etc, then I do not see why this kind of thread should not be allowed. What's more: this is not your forum. We all see from time to time a thread that displeases us, but then we simply don't react, and don't respond. Please do the same, or start your own forum somewhere else and allow only clones of yourself as members so that you can be certain they will all agree with you.

Pigfish quote: " FreeBass - it is not A "fora", it is two or more fora. Fora is the proper (but usually ignored) plural of forum--like aquaria and memoranda for aquarium and memorandum. The words are based on Greek but here in America, laziness and poor education are making the incorrect formats become acceptable. The one word/plural of this type that makes me grind my teeth most is the use of data as a singular noun. Datum is singular--data is plural. Just as an amusing tidbit, the singular form of grafiti is grafito...and people wonder why English is so hard to learn LOL." First of all forum is not Greek but Latin (Forum Romanum) and secondly afair it is not fora but fori.

Thread: What is Open GL?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Often make your puter crash because you have to install the latest drivers which often does not prevent crashing. This said: a very complicated language if it were that is used to command your graphics card. It works all platforms (or should) and has several advantages because it can speed up screen redraw. It has many tricks in its sleeves like only redrawing the pixels that have been changed, allows for antialiased lines etc etc... Problem is that is is very complicated to program as there are many variables. So it really does depend a lot on your card and its drivers. Even in "high-end" gamer's cards it is usually not fully implemented. Not because the cards can't handle it, but because the "pro" level cards (fireGL, quadro, wildcat,...) also have to find buyers. Recent gamer-level cards (radeons, nvidia's geforces etc) with recent drivers usually allow it to a certain level, and in case the written language corresponds well with your specific puter system (this goes deeper that buying a vid card and getting a recent driver) you get a very noticable screen redraw. If not, and this happens very often, stability is at stake and you get freezers and applications disappearing in thin air. Or disappearing objects, vibration on your screen etc etc.

Thread: P6..and purchasing..One loyal customer view. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
From what I've seen: interface, new specs etc, I will not upgrade. I'll have to see and read about the many advantages and fixed hindrances (multiple undo, clicking double plus to add, but double clicking to replace, content room,...) before they see the colour of my money. Besides: accepting P's interface, slowness and quirks, I kinda like P5. So no P6 for me in 2005. Yet, I see your point. But people like me, who got 5 when most bugs had been removed have not suffered like people who got P5 too early. So it is good something special has been done for those. My idea: if it is more than you would like to pay for it, then don't buy.

Thread: Vue5 vs BodyStudio 2.5 Cinema 4D Animation Import | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I would wait for InterPoser pro by Kuroyume. I use the ltd version daily, and it works flawlessly. Much cheaper. Aimation is possible in ltd, but not automatic rigging from Poser to Cinema, or the node-based shaders from math etc. But these will follow quite soon. www.kuroyumes-developementzone.com

Thread: Poser 6 - OpenGL? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
OpenGl can be a blessing, but it also can be a curse. If it works, it speeds up screen redraw. If it works depends on many things as each configuration is different. Settings depend on your driver and on the options on your card. Example: Radeons for PC do not have dualplanes (only what has changed redraws. This has nothing to do with dual monitors!). This is reserved to FireGL cards. Smart screen redraw, shared textures, antialiased lines, line polygons etc...sometimes work, and sometimes crash the app. Best is to have newest drivers that are known not to be buggy. Example: objects may disappear and reappear, studio (workspace) may be flickering,... It can be a blessing though.
