The easiest way I know is to bring the .cr2 into a text editor and hunt down the offending morph such as:
targetGeom OffendingMorph
{
name OffendingMorphk
initValue 0
hidden 0
forceLimits 4
min -1
.....
deltas
{
d 0 0.0033799 0.0003319979 -0.001543805
d 1 0.003927298 0.002131999 -0.001614101
.....
}
and delete that section

Okay,... it been a long day and I'll been staring at the computer screen for a bit too long... I know because one of my betatesters "nickedshield" just posted an image with the map working properly... The color was near Black "0 0 2"... I'm would have mine working properly too if had been in my :runtime:textures directory :O Painter pull my master file (.RIF) from the correct directory but SAVE AS was directed to my beta Runtime outside of Poser... hence, I corrected the problem but not the one Poser was seeing... Ugh! thank-you anyways and I'm sorry for wasting everyone's time...

Nope, that work didn't either... but thanks for trying.. I also used Poser Pro's much simplier Material Editor and unfortunately got the same problem... it's looking like my solution will be to create a conforming tail prop-- that might be better anyways, I could add morphs to give gravity to those two Q-Tip shaped feathers

The black has been tested numerous times 0, 0, 0 and white at 255, 255, 255. It was rendered in Poser 6, though the same result occurs in Poser 4 Pro
The only thing I can figure is that the tail being two-sided geometry that there's some weird bleed through going on...

Thread: INJ-REM Help | Forum: Poser Technical
Okay, I did find out what was wrong... I need to add "hidden" morphs to the .CR2, even though the morphs aren't included
there, for example:
...
targetGeom Bug
{
hidden 1
}
...
So I guess I need a service release on my .CR2 anyways to get the new morphs...
thanks for your help

Oh, I see how the "valueOpDeltaAdd" section of code works now... What I was after (using the xample posted) was to insert the "Bug" morph in the "tail" section along with the tail's already existing morphs. I did delete that section of code but still no morphs show up.

I think that's a great idea... I started a Sci-Fi/Fantasy set when DAZ was getting ready to do a Sci-Fi theme sale, but got bogged down and shelved the set. There's more than enough real birds for me to do anyways... The conforming add-ons should be a nice addition, I actually creating a couple with my African set (mostly crests). I've considered doing some Birds of Paradise... some of those appear more fantasy than real, especially the Wilson's BOP.

Thanks for the kind words regarding the Songbird ReMix series... I'm always open to suggestions for more birds...
Thread: Bird of paradise model needed | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sorry, I haven't done a "bird of paradise", I've stuck mostly to North American birds. I think the ReMix model might be a good base for the Bird of Paradise with the tail plumes attached as a prop. And the cool thing with the ReMix model is that you get stationary and flight models in one model. Plus in my latest two SBReMix releases there are animated poses files for flight, landing and take-off. Was there a specific species of "Bird of Paradise" you were looking for? I think there's 20+ subspecies... or is the image posted what you're looking for?

The neon sign really doesn't come though too well in the scene. It's atop the steel framework in the upper-right hand corner of the picture. You can sort of see the red and magneta letters. Also, I'm familiar with the "selected render" opinion. Unfortunately, I didn't want to use that here since I'm interested also with how the light plays with the scene. I just wasn't prepared for the 10 hour render time on my "fast" machine. ;) My reason for asking about simulating glow as that in the future I may want to do more night scenes and I see it as an important tool to learn. Lighting has always been a weakness of mine so I've started challenging myself.
