LOL eros, yeah i missed the warm wet weather by the beach. Only thing I hate are the bugs, especially those mosquitoes, they won't stop.

Thanks for the response guys. It's not that big a file, I tried downloading it myself with my slow 56k LOL. It can get smaller if I took out that 2d plane 'cheat' I included. Geocicties might have a limit ;-( chohole, working on those recipies.

I think this Hot 20 issue has been done to death. Just like the "what is art?" issue (spits). It seems obvious to me that Renderosity will never scrap out the Hot 20 just for us. So if hot 20 is too hot, just stay outta there. The galleries and the forums are still available. Besides, I don't think anyone joined R'osity because of the Hot 20. Personally I joined for the gallery, I found out about the Hot 20 much later. Yup, definitely not a reason for leaving. Yeah, I the Pink Pony is rebellious art against those purists and snobs. I thought it was rather brave of the artist to do that.

I don't think I'm a purist at anything. LOL. Eventhough I sometimes make "pure Bryce" projects, I always feel like postworking, it's so much funner, and much more personal. I sometimes wish I could put my hands in there and fingerpaint on my Bryce renders.

Bruce, I understand your frustrations. Unfairness here is a reflection of the world we live in. I see Renderosity is like a fish, the bones are irritating but the flesh tastes good. =) As far as "ART" is concerned, I really don't know what it is anymore, I feel happier just doing my own thing, and not thinking about this "art" thing. Sometimes time away can really heal hurts, clear confusions, and refresh one's energy. So please don't divorce yet. Give us a visit every once in a while. It's possible to fall in love with the same site the second time around. Please don't remove your gallery! If you must leave, Goodbye for now, but not goodbye forever right? Really really good news Pendulum! I think the Bryce interface works very well as it is but I'm sure there's room for improvement. There's always room for improvement. Yeah Customizable would be the best way to go. Here are a few things I really wish they would improve on: 1. I really hope they can make a faster render engine. 2. A treelab that allows more control of the trunk, branches, and area of distribution of leaves. Something comparable to XFrog trees. Coconut trees that can compete with Vue's. 3. A grass and floral generator? So we don't have to keep importing this stuff. 4. Meta booleans? 5. Skies/Clouds that are similar or better than those generated in Terragen. 6. Tapering and chamfering functions for booleans? 7. Many of us are fascinated HDRI that we actually find ways of emulating it, so why not real HDRI this time? These are just wishful thoughts that may or may not be possible yet. I really don't expect all of them to happen but any one of these improvemens would be enough to make me buy a Bryce 6. Well, I think I will buy it anyway regardless. hehehe Whatever they do with it, I'm just glad that they are keeping it alive. 8^D
