tia look, the thing is: i'm bad in internet-searching. i just don't have the patience to dig through tons of ... to find the pearl. question is: what does "amacord" mean? that's why i was wondering about humming. the only thing humming were the orange and cheap cables. since the stuff i used to play was more "steam" than "typewriting" (in lack of the right words) the les paul was absolutely my lady love - apart from the weight.... i found some new hobbies during the last 25 years - from the guitar to motorcycles to the pen (calligraphy) to airbrushing and finally CG. but guitar and bikes are more or less dead for me.....:unsure:

i'm not sure if i understand "hum" right (2nd language). no computer back then. used to have an orange amp instead....plug and play and that's it - those were the days!!!!
