I've got one. But a boxed version. Original license - not from an update. javil, which country are you in?
Thread: Looking at a new pc for Vue | Forum: Vue
That nVidia video card specified for that Medion computer will work quite nicely for Vue.

My sincere apologies to you, thefixer, for any perceived insult to your personally. It is not my intent to do so.
Thread: Forester | Forum: Vue
Two apologies to you in the case on the off-chance that you were taking this as a mean slap directed at you, personally. One personal apology to the members of the forum indicating that I was intending only to diffuse the whole issue with humor. One private apology and explanation to the forum monitors. Is there something else I can do to ensure you that I condem these poor comments in the forum, but understand your personal frustration with the latest release of Vue?
Sorry, but I really don't think it is "childish" to condem these languages and actions. You probably knew that already.
Thread: Vue 10.5 has arrived :) | Forum: Vue
Sorry about that other thread, Folks.
I didn't mean to be inflammatory, nor mean to thefixer, if it were to be taken that way.
I only meant to try to diffuse this situation with some humor. The thing is, there is no place to just express a lot of frustration, and I meant only to provide a place where thefixer's comments could be taken in context.
My apologies to the members of the forum.
Thread: I Just Have To Gripe! | Forum: Vue
And I'm going to post the first one on behalf of our friend thefixer - just because I got here before he did.
Piss on it! I meant what I said. Vue 10 is just a pile of shite!
Â
BTW - thanks bruno for the correct spelling of that last.

My apologies, thefixer. It is possible that you are reading into my note a personal slap at you. I do not intend to say that you are a hater (and did not say so, if you read closely).
What I said is that generic and vitriolic comments such as yours do bring out and seem to cheer on those that are self-identified as Vue haters. There are two regulars who post here often and are self-identified as such. Then we end up with a cycle of name-calling, with nothing actually to do with the specifics of Vue. Having worked with this forum for some eighteen-nineteen years now, I think this is an observation that is just a simple fact. Nothing more meant by it than that.
It is true that bruno's first comment provoked you into name-calling and disparaging remarks about all us "fanboys", which should be most of us who visit this forum, yes? (Although "fanboy" is rather a disparaging term - a slander, technically, yes?)
However, have you considered that your original comment/phrasing provoked bruno in the exact same manner?
I know that I find it provoking, personally. I don't find that 'anything' many people have worked on for years and years to try to make as good and unique a thing as possible - worthy of being called "a pile of shit."Â That utterly demeans all their years of work, and their intentions. It is a totally conclusive judgment that ends all conversations.Â
Given the sharp meaning of this kind of statement, and the fact that it is a total conversation ender, should you actually be surprised that it provokes others into a response - a challenge to you? Or, have you perhaps had a poor education as to the true meaning of words?
I am truely a forester. I've spent my adult life in the field, in rough and sometimes dire conditions and always in the language of rough men doing a rough job. There is a time and a place for comments such as "this is a pile of shit." I've used that phrase several hundreds of times myself. This forum is not that kind of place, and Vue is not a muddy hole in cold driving rain that ten of us are going to have to go down into hanging onto a muddy rope. Vue is, rather, the strong endeavor of many talented people trying to build as good a product as possible. I don't think you honor that effort or those men and women very well. I don't think you offer constructive criticism, by your comment, or any useful piece of information. I think this forum is where we come to find useful information, and good criticisms by which we all can benefit.
You can take that as 'fanboy comment", or in any way you wish. But if you do so, perhaps you are not truely listening to what is being said here.
Thread: Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 | Forum: Vue
Paula, sorry I am late on this one!
I made a technical review of the 680 for an unnamed company, along with another couple of nVidia boards. My personal opinion that you might want to pass this one by and wait until August for the next iteration of this board. But Tom's Hardware Review is quite thorough and gives it a Gold Seal.
Thread: Installation Problems | Forum: Vue
Taylor-Made, a dumb question, but by any chance do you have a flash drive of any sort mounted on your computer?
Â
The reason that I ask is that a flash drive could take on such a Volume address. This could be either a temporary USB type of flash drive, or a hard mounted flash drive serving to boost your boot-up times.
Basically, there is nothing on the installation disks that writes to any specific volume other than C:. (And that, just for a few instances of the install.) So, if you are receiving a message about "Volume H" in the installation process, it is because something in your new Win 7 operating system sees a "Volume H" somewhere.
Can you access your Control Panel, and then "Hardware and Sound", and then the "Device Manager" to look and see if you have anything names as "Volume H" listed in your computer components? Can you report back here with with you find?
Thread: Vue 10.5 has arrived :) | Forum: Vue
Nobody minds a technical critique. Something specific - something informed and detailed that allows viewers to make a comparison or determination for themselves. Something that engages the intelligence of presumably intelligent viewers.
Pretty much everybody minds a generic and aimless slap at a product. Basically chance for personal expression for the venter, but a waste of forum space and time for everyone else.
No, that last was not correct. An aimless slap at a product is good news for other people who "hate" a product as well. Encourages those folks, so in that, it is a good post.
Thread: Want Texture Photos? Requests? | Forum: Vue
Great! Thanks, Jim!
No need to get poison oak pics on my part - LOL! I have seen far, far too much of it in my walking-the-mountains days. Could go the entire rest of my life without that particular plant!
But some enterprising soul might want to make a Vue Poison Oak plant. You never can tell - LOL!
Thread: Want Texture Photos? Requests? | Forum: Vue
Hello Jim.
Been a long time!
Stone materials are always useful. Stucco, old flaked paint on boards. Closeups of plant materials, such as leaves are always high on my list. For fruit and vegetable models, and for poly plants, there seems to be no subsitute for the real texture. Never can do quite the same job with a man-made shader.
And thank you for asking, and for doing the work!

OK, I also responded on the C3D site. If you will please look into your computer case and try to look all around on your motherboard, to locate the make and model, I will try to find the appropriate power supply for you. Just need to know the make of the motherboard, and if possible, the model of motherboard.
The make (the brand) of motherboard should be displayed rather boldly, somewhere on the motherboard itself. The model number is less important, but it would help me a lot.
