Thread: Can Poser import an AVI file with sound? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Correction. I've just realized I didn't add the sound in my editor. But then I can't, because I need to match the Poser action to the sound, and you can't do that in an editor. Can you ...?

But that doesn't work for me. I added sound to an AV file in my editor, VideoWave II, but the sound does not accompany the video when imported into Poser 4.

I know how to make an AVI with sound. My question was how to import an AVI file together with sound into Poser for merging with a new motion file. It seems we've drawn a blank. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks. Editing software won't help since I want to build Poser action around pre-recorded sound. As for WAV files, how do I make these? So far as I can determine Poser only saves files as pz2 and only makes movies as AVI. Have I missed something?
Thread: Ground Level Adjustment: What's the Secret? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's not IK. And usually the first frame is OK: it's the frames added by the walk libary that are sunken or in the air. Phil C has now shown me how to adjust any number of (hip y tran) frames en bloc, without losing the ups and downs of walking -- and all with one action. Thanks for your input.

Phil: Many thanks. But it doesn't seem to work for me. When I highlight the block of frames they can only be moved sideways (as indicated by the cursor symbol). If I select one frame only and try dragging vertically, only that framne moves and the highlighting goes off. Right-clicking doesn't highlight and neither left nor right clicking drags vertically.

Thanks to all for the helpful comments. I assume endered AVIs will present no particular problem and am going ahead with Carrara.
Thread: Monitors -- CRT or Flat Panel? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wow -- the response is great! On balance I think it's advising me to stay with my CRT. I'm very grateful to everyone for their thoughtful answers.

Thread: Why Flickering Shadows in AVIs? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Xantor: That's it! Switching off animation eliminates the flicker. I've no idea why, but thank you very much. Incidentally, increasing map size as suggested in the link above provided by ernyoka1, does not prevent flicker.

Actually, I found this rather difficult, but experimenting with it brought back the previous method, which is very simple and effective. Select Right Eye and view from the right side. Select Joint Editor. Grab the red cross from the center of the eye along the green line to a position in front. Select Point at and select a camera. Repeat for Left Eye from the left side. Works perfectly. Thanks for overcoming my amnesia attack.

Great. Thanks Phoenix Rising. This is a little different from the idea suggested last time, which also worked. You pulled a green or red cross out in front of the eyes, I think. But I'll do this. ("Pointing at" the camera has the guy looking at his shoes through his abdomen.) Again, many thanks.
