Thanks folks. I get the picture. I actually like most of the fantasy stuff in the gallaries. I guess day-to-day reality does become a drudge and it's nice to leave it for a while, and if you can do this through your art, why not. Thanks for the discussion.

No more flattening clothes for me. Just worked out how to do it in the cloth room, and it was easy. Follow anxcon's directions. This may sound stupid but can you clotherfy non-dynamic clothing. Suppose I should just try it.

Some pre-set poses do this I've noticed, even when the hair is parented.. They can also change facial expressions which need to be re-set. There's probably some way to get around this, but I just live with it.

I see your point gillbrooks. Sorry for rubbing it in. Perhaps there should be some sort of recourse for those who have forked out good money for things that later turns up as free stuff. Talk to the merchant. Most people around here seem to be very reasonable and generous with their products. (or am I being naive?)**

Are you wanting to paste your character onto a 2D background? You can use an edge selection tool in a 2D graphics program to copy and paste your charcater, but not with good results. Better to import your background into Poser (File-Import-Bacckground picture) and render over it.

15 seconds ay. Told you they were smart around here simontemplar. I've tried the xantor method but didn't really know what I was doing. Now it's spelt out for me, I'll try again.

Nice scene, nice render and yes, we all need to get outdoors. So good to see a post with no problems to be addressed, just a message of goodwill. Happy Easter to you olveramberg and all the best to you and your loved ones.

I have one prop of dropped clothes but they don't look so good so I don't use them. I would also like such a prop that looks closer to the real thing. Doesn't matter about textures, I can add my own. I'm also an idiot in the cloth room, but seeing what others can do there, I would think that "droped clothes" could be made there. Sorry I can't help simomtemplar (The Avengers???) but there are some really brilliant people working with Poser and I'm sure this would be easy for them. (yes I'm begging for freebies again)

Seems I'm doing things arse about face, but I am now setting up my figures and lighting first. Because I'm very thingy about correct lighting of figures, I get this right and then proceed to set up my scene. Nothing worse than making a great scene and then f***ing about for hours trying to get the lighting right. Just got to make sure none of your scenary interferes with the lighting you've set up.

Don't forget that preferred state also saves your render settings, so if you always render (or preview render) in a particular way, you can default to this state each time Poser opens.

Thanks bagginsbill and modus0. Will try as you suggested. The difference between "shadow" and "dark because the light is not shining at it" is a fine one, but I see your point. Will muck around with shadow bias settings and see what happens.
