If they tried to get in, I don't think it was for the sandwiches or the beer. Sorry: Coke as Daz is a family site. No beer...

Well, they won't make the leap to soft joints because they can't because nearly all users use Millenium characters. It would be great though if, combined with Shade, they had a double set, meaning: bizarre shoulder joints and bended knees for V3 and company, and a soft system for their own characters. My guess is that they somehow must see to break the barrier of everyone waiting 'till someone else has bought to see what's wrong, and what's been fixed. What would you see as a must have feature that would make this a must have?

I guess that if you own a 3D app (perhaps free Wings3D or whatever) you can open the hair obj in it and use symmetry to get a mirrored copy. This you could reimport as the polycount is the smae. Problem is that you would also have to flip the UVmap.

Thread: It's official, DAZ bought Poser Pros | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It is a legal bizarity that something that is created by someone long enough ago can be acquired by someone else who then gets a copyright on it because of some work he did on something that wasn't his creation.
But yeah, since Irak we know the means and methods of mass distraction....

do a search in the Product Showcase forum for Kaimira or Seraphira. A very ambitious project, but one that combines max with Poser versatility. Not finished yet, but imo worth keeping an eye on.

Try to see what happens. Vicky is a mesh of polygons. So are the clothes. When you move a point of one of V's polys, it'll poke through the clothes mesh. Which is why you have to do a similar act on the clothes. Clothes are not like real clothes.

Yeahh...and then there's people like yours truly who has several backups. On asecond HDD, on an external hdd, on cdroms of different brands, cdrw's, on my laptop,... And then comes the day that you buy something, and/or download some nw stuff. And the doubt which backup has been updated, and which not? etc etc... That also is a real horrorshow when there are several runtimes, and each has its own organisation... Back to topic: me too, I deeply sympathise. But there is also good news! The second time, it does not only go quicker, but you'll add some tweaks you couldn't see anymore on the first version as you were too much "in" it for too long a time.

Thread: Truly realistic face/character for V3? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
When it comes to natural faces -there are too many limits to talk about natural bodies-, I personally like subtigee's Jacqueline a lot (for V3), A_'s Marisol and Elouise and queequeg's Amanda.

Thread: Bodystudio transfers Poser5 shaders into Cinema4d? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks. Now I'm shure there is no need to spend so much money on an import/export plugin. Better save the money for, err...Poser 7. (or was it 8?)

Thread: Poser with Lightwave or C4D. . . your thoughts? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
and www.kuroyumes-developementzone.com for the InterPoser plugin that does do animation from Poser and works like a charm. Cinema has a less steep learning curve. Besides: for use with Poser you don't need all modules.

Sorry, I don't see this as a real proof. There is on one hand the set of applied materials, bitmaps of skin etc, and the specific settings for highlights, bump, etc. But the complete nodes system? Math nodes, variable nodes, raytrace nodes, 3D texture nodes? I can't say "no, it can't", but I would love to read an affirmation and see what it really can. With examples. Because kuroyume's Interposer can also import all material settings (not the shaders I mentioned in the ltd version) and it costs less than 25% on Reiss Bodystudio. When later this year the por version will be out, it will be able to do more than BS. I find the price tag of Bodystudio way too high. My opinion of course. (wasn't there something about those exports being free when P5 was about to be released?)

Bodystudio is way too expensive for what it offers. InterPoser ( www.kuroyumes-developementzone.com ) is much cheaper and offers far better value for its money. And will offer much more in the pro version.

I have the milkids (older version) and I never used the preschoolers yet. (it's not my fault, daddy, it was Thorne. He makes such beautiful nymphs...). But imo, Daz exaggerates in being prudish. Their problem, and I rsqpect they want to be the digital counterpart of Barbie and whatshisname, but I for one won't buy any of their characters, meshes or skins anymore. Looks like they did choose the name with care. Queen Victoria's days were known for their hypochrisy.

I never knew him personally or echanged a pm, but I always admired his photoshop work. A man with a multi-faceted inspiration. Sad his body gave up... I read the interview, and I can only say: wish I'd known him. Thanks for caring.
