The impression I got from Runtime's e-mail was that their site was eventually going down and their products would be moving over to DAZ' site.
Personally, I can't buy into all this as being a good thing for the Poser community -- but I would simply love to be proven wrong about that. .

Yes, I just went to my "wish list" at Runtime to buy up those discounted items and everything is at a $5 minimum now.

I agree, WandW and GeneralNutt.
I hope the vendors move here, because (just my opinion again) we all can pretty much guess that someone was sold a bill of goods and what DAZ' real intent is.
Runtime has so many Poser-centric python scripts and special products like TerraDome that this comes-off as unthinkable.

Just my opinion, but I fear that DAZ will do the same thing for Runtime as they did for Eovia -- namely, virtual destruction.
Oh, Syyd, how could you? Please tell me this isn't true!
If it were the other way around -- Runtime taking over DAZ -- I would be quite happy. But that does not appear to be the case
Biting my tongue and refraining from making comments regarding Utah.
Thank God for Rendo & Hivewire!

The result of promoting such a short window sale will be more to irritate potential buyers than to generate actual sales.

Thread: Do Poser Pro and Poser Pro 2012 work with Windows 10? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just my opinion here. But why do you think Windows 10 is free and you still have to pay for Windows 7?
Windows 10 contains a fair amount of spyware that sends info about you back to MicroSoft.
If you are on 7 and it's working for you, I do not recommend an upgrade unless there is a feature in 10 you really need or must have. But then, I would still add "O&O Shutup" to kill the spying and "Classic Shell" to give me a familiar interface. Still not as good as 7, though.

Can we install DAZ products into Poser directly using Poser's "install from archived zip file" feature in the content room or do we need to use DAZ installer?
I've been using DAZ' installer and I hate it.
Thread: Latest WIN 10 update (KB3132372) prevents poser 10 from working | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Please let us know if & when Microsoft's next update fixes that.
Fortunately, I still have Win 7 Pro x64 on my workstation and have no desire to upgrade until I'm absolutely forced to. Win 8 and 10 were and are spyware. Why do you think they're free but you still have to pay tor Win 7?
However, if you have Win 10, consider these free applications...
(a) "O&O Shutup" will let you control what info is being sent to MS... http://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10
(b) "Classic Shell" will return your GUI to one you'll be familiar with if you use a real desktop computer and don't want the interface of a mobile pad... http://www.classicshell.net/

Thanks so much for your lightning-fast response, hborre.
How well did PP2014 handle the PMD file issue? Or is it only the new PP11 that has gotten it tamed?
Yes, I won't upgrade until this phase of the project is completed. Then, I'll have the space in-which to consider it. The main tool I like in the newest version is the "measuring stick", but I have a couple third party ones I'm using now that are awkward but sufficing.

I’m finding that the necklace prop I modified had some kind of corruption in it, so I’ve replaced it. But I am rebuilding the character anyway and testing each step along the way.
So far, I’ve not moved any files around, though.
Excuse my naiveté here, but if having a sister PMD file can potentially create these errors, what is the advantage of using them--especially if the morph info can remain in the CR2 file anyway? Is somehow using the CR2 with a sister PMD file together more efficient and faster?
hborre, you say that this matter is handled better in newer editions of Poser. I am considering an upgrade to Pro 2014, but I'm not too keen on upgrading to PP 11 at the moment--at least not until the first or second service packs have come out. I’m very reluctant to make an upgrade on a software package when I’m in the middle of a project.

Hmmm. I'm still working this out. I doubled my RAM this week from 8 to 16 GB and it's made little visible difference in this matter. I made a duplicate installation of V4 on the C drive with the program too, since I read that V4 wants to be there too, apparently.
I believe that hborre is right about something in the PMD files getting corrupted, but I don't know how to find it exactly. Yes, I had "use external binary morphs" checked in general preferences. Isn't that the default setting? If I uncheck it, is the morph data then saved within the actual CR2 file as opposed to a sister PDM file? I find little in writing anywhere that clarifies that for me.
