Ah, Traal...where the heady vapors make us all wish for a drink that is much like, but not exactly like, having our brain smashed out with a gold brick that has a slice of lemon wrapped around it... Grue(some) things happen on the way to the Hidden Empire, but we should take heart (someone elses, please)that Renderosity exists at all! I mean, really, where else can you find this kind of free content to feed a growing addiction?

That'll teach me to try to answer email and forum postings while working in three different programs and consulting with a student at the same time!!! I meant Macromedia, reallyl I did....

The programs are Contribute and Contribute 2. I talked the department into purchasing several copies for faculty installation and once they were used they locked the user out of their files and set the code so that it couldn't be fetched or repaired. Now they want us to purchase the newest version as well as a new, incredibly expenseive program called Breeze. And they promise the same high level of assistance and support that we've reveived in the past. It's going to take months to repair the damage that Contribute did.

If we're playing theoretical conspiracy theories, the one above where the sick idea of Adobe purchasing Poser is just, well, wrong. It would definately be the death of the program. I've got two program from Adobe that don't do what they are advertised as doing and Adobe won't answer either email or telephone calls for assistance and support. Please, let it be someone who understands what the term "service industry" actually means.

I'm sure that someone has already said this somewhere, but I'd really, really like to see some enforcement of the nudity warnings in the gallery. I'm all for artistic license but there have been a few lately that,well, let me put it this way: If I'm browsing the thumbnails and I see one that is nothing more than a set of male genetalia, I quit looking at the gallery and go do something else. I don't think it would be too much to ask that the artists ensure that they do the simple task of clicking the warning boxes when they upload their art. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I have spoken to several others who view Renderosity's galleries as the best that digital art has to offer and they feel the same way. Just my input, nothing more.

I can't remember...does Paintshop Pro 8 use PS brushes? I know that with some earlier versions you could change the file type and use the brush. Just wondering, I've got both but I'm more comfortable with PSP. Thanks bunches for the brush!
